To be fair, there were traffic Marshalls placed on every corner, but upon facing the unexpected fog, he couldn't see them. Project D knew about the fog and made plans in advance Also Ikeda struggled because of his Zero Theory. Keeping up with Keisuke means fighting spirit which goes against his theory. He wanted to refine his theory after the battle (which he learnt from Ryosuke in the very next battle)

agreed, Zero Theory is flawed, it's an almost unreachable level of stoicism, one can't simply block out their emotions and perform, at least not forever, at some point we all break, and Ikeda broke during the worst possible time

@@toe-b203 there are no rules (2), by that logic Takumi having Itsuki sit inside the car during the AE86 vs S14 rain fight in Myogi is also cheating? It's not because there's no rule that disallows this. The characters work with what they have.

this was the part I really though keisuke cheated but then again watching the anime again made me realized that there should always be on lookers for each team to notify them if there are cars ahead or none. So basically, we can't tell for sure if the enemy has the phone too and just didn't notify him early on or someone notified him as well but chose not to move forward as it is risky. I can't also argue to people who takes this as cheating as the anime didn't clear that enough for us.

Pamsy's Eurobeat Fragile fits so well in this race.

I liked this race at it's moment, but now i remember it's 199X and there's a freaking 350Z and before there was a EVO VII. that race could be interesting with a 300ZX (Like a reference to "Tunnel Nuketara Sky Blue") well, another Arak... i mean Shigeno Forgot! lol

I do agree, there were still plenty of car choices so that the timeline errors didn’t happen. Also, they could have added a bit of diversity with the amount of repeat cars.

@@genericexcuse4737 I think the 3000GT is fine, had the same size of the RX7 with the amemiya body kit. The VR4 could be a rival for takumi, the eclipse was better in the US Market, the 2G Eclipse only was FWD in Japan (With the name of Eclipse GT), not the 4WD GSX you mentioned (And i forgot the Eclipse is not a JDM at all, because the units that were sold in japan, all of them were assembled in the US).

If you didn’t watch the anime, basically he had his friend call him to confirm that there wasn’t any oncoming traffic. The other guy nope-d out because he was worried about an oncoming car (..which doesn’t make sense because he had the left lane anyway)

@@2key the reason why he backed off the accelerator is cause he was scared to go full throttle like keiskue, even having the left lane, he just couldn’t understand how Keiskue could go full blast with the conditions of the weather. So in the end, he forfeited cause he knew he wouldn’t be able to do the same.

And that is cheating, Ikeda coupd have easily won, doing that should automatically get you banned from the race
