Very nice job. What's the final weight? I used to find that lubricating the rubber was a great way to get the best out of it. Putting on the turns can definitely be pretty scary! When I flew big outdoor duration models the rubber was stretched out seven or eight feet from the nose before being cranked many hundreds of turns. The stored-up power was incredible. Back in the fuselage it was enclosed in a separate reinforced tube that was there to prevent it from smashing the plane to bits as it unwound. I'm sure your lovely Ajax will have no such problems. Good luck!

Thanks, it's 3oz, or 86grams
At freehand painting down looks really excellent I thought you were going to say you spend a while masking it all off! I kept my undercarriage in on the Ajax by bending The Wire into a slight s shape on each wire. Have you lubricated the motor, you'll get a lot more turns on it?

I lied a little there about the painting, lol 😁 I did mask off the fuselage to do the line down each side but the rest is all free hand. I did in fact bend the ends of the wire to hold it in but did not help so got a drop of super glue on each side just to hold in place.
