Mate seriously you are a legend and I want to thank you for this video. I was about to say forget it as I am not the handiest bloke in the world. My fridge died two weeks ago. I called a Fridge technician to come out and fix it hell no, it was half of what the fridge cost me. So I ordered the board. It arrived today. It only cost me $49.99 Australian. My board came complete with the backing attached that was the only difference that I could see from yours. It took me 45 minutes and I was done. Working like a charm. It is already down to 2 celcius. Nothing flashing and fan working. You have made me look like a King in front of my wife and save me a lot of money.

Hi Larry, Thanks for the power board infor. Did your kegerator quit on you?. I have the same one and noticed that the control pannel has no lights illuminated now. I do have power gong to the unit. Any info on what to do about this would be helpful

Williams Brewing has a troubleshooting guide for that fridge to help determine whether the power board or the display board is the problem.

What were the initial failure conditions? My series 4 was sitting for two months. When powering it on, the display flashes, the tower cooling fan turns on but nothing else. If yours was similar then I could buy the power board - we have it in stock up here 🇨🇦

Sounds similar except my fan would only jerk and stop. There is a diagnostic check you can run on the board to know for sure, but Kegland has admitted that the power supply is undersized and prone to failure.

@@BEERNBBQBYLARRY so it looks like a got lucky - I plugged the thing in the next morning and after twenty minutes it started the compressor and everything looked good. No idea why it did it like that. At least now I know I can replace that part.

Larry, my experience buying from the US to Australia with High Gravity(Spike Flex +) Brew in a Bag and recently Great Fermentations(Spike accessories) has been the opposite, great prompt service, good communication etc. The Kegland gear has been a revolution for the home brewer with the Rapt refrigerator and the accompanying brewer specific platform. Just seems that product support and customer relations has not met the mark. A bit more product testing and improvement needs to take place before sending it out to the broader market. Seriously, this could be with guys like yourself, Brian at Electric brewing, David Heath etc.

Right. Every company needs to take into account their ability to support their products and replacement parts. Some do a better job than others.

Out of curiosity… what would that board cost online to replace?? $34.. out of stock.. wonder if a different one would work!

Much like me, he’s been swallowed up by his real job working too much keeping him away from spending time on hobbies. He said he’s been planning to post a channel update video but still hasn’t done that yet either.

I do not. Knowing now that the sole reseller in the USA has such difficulty providing spare parts to their customers, I regret my purchasing decision.
