Can you comment on the 3.5mm jack of the LS50W II series when connecting to turntable? I have the first generation and quite happy with the RCA port. With the 3.5mm on the new models, does the sound will be affected as from what I know, 3.5mm is worse compare to RCA?

I sometimes experience worse sound on other products via 3.5mm but these are top notch via all connections.

I was about to buy the KEF LSX until I saw this review. Are these worth the extra (x2.5) outlay? Physical size aside - does the quality/range justify the extra cost vs. the LSX?

The LSX sound superb, but more suited to desktop listening in my opinion. These offer up a much wider range and full bodied sound. The difference is big, but either model delivers an amazing experience.

Why did you connect them with optical instead of the hdmi. Which i believe is hdmi arc.

That is a lot of power being pumped out of those speakers. They did sound good despite listening through KZread

They almost beat my KEF floorstanders.

My internet still works OK sometimes it keeps going on and off a bit which annoys me because I live in a countryside as I have Virgin Media. Anyway, Very good sound on the speakers. It seems good for normal television watching and what films did you watch? Stay safe. 😊

Yes you do and then hook into the aux with an 3.5 mm plug

So far these speakers have giving me major headaches. I'm using my Samsung S21 Ultra phone with these. When I use Spotify after a while the connection just becomes unstable, and the music begins to play from my phone instead of the speakers. The KEF connect app does not find my speakers (but still the speaker show that they have connection with the WIFI). When I turn the speakers off and on they work for a short while, and then the problem repeats! I do not know what to do!

I had this but it settled after connecting Ethernet between the speakers.

I have the same issues using an iPad. No matter what I do the app is simply unreliable. It is really annoying that such an expensive speaker works worse than any Alexa device, or even any device out there. I will be returning mine.

How much do they charge for the stands? Its usually a way that the manufacturers screw you!

For a more conventional system, I would do for the R7.

I just bought sl50 w2, and.. a new tablet just to be able to run them, went with the Galaxy tab A7 lite, since my wallet is rather empty, looking at you kef minus 3000 euros. havent gotten the speakers yet but... when installing the app via store, there is this little tiny message right under it claiming " this app may not work on you device" .. well thats ashame, really, so were is the gud o'l system requirements for it? so i i can buy an tablet that will run silky smooth with 0 bugs an crashes. ??? what R others experience with this? does the app run smooth regardless of the message? on my brothers old potato, there is no message. pls share all your tablets you use that work wonders with the KEF Connect app . skip the expensive apple ones. i went for speakers, not apples.

The app could be improved.

Not just a speaker you say. Can it cook toast ? Can it make coffee ? Can it vacuum ? Can i watch movies on it ? No. Its just a speaker with fancy tech.
