    I have just arrived from studio after listening to the smaller LSXii, LS50ii and the bigger LS60. I cannot believe it but I walked away with these paired with the KC62 instead of the LS60 by itself. For the money its that friggin good. The LSXii were amazing for the size but didn't quite fill the room like these did. The LS60 sounded more upper with not as much mid compared to these with the KC62. An amazing pairing as I was happy to get the LS60s (just in my budget without a KC62) if they sounded right ❤

    You are one of the few reviewers to mention that these subs shut off. Fortunately a software update fixed this😊

    Looks very cool! However, I have a question about ls50 wireless 2. Maybe you can tell which subwoofer will sound better in a small room up to 20 squares, cube10 or kc62?

    I noticed each speaker has its own sub out. If i run dual sub setup, will it be Stereo sub? Or still in 2.1?

  • @Audiofied

    @Audiofied

    3 ай бұрын

    When using a dual sub setup with the KEF LS50 Wireless II speakers, each subwoofer output will handle the low-frequency effects independently, but the system will still function as a 2.1 setup, not stereo subs.

    Heya Buddy.. Good day to you.. 😊👋🏻 KEF speakers!!! 😳 Wow.. 😍 1 of favourite speakers.. KEF speakers got unique sound of its own.. (Their signatures sound) 🥰 But.. It’s to pricey!!! 😫 Hurmm.. 😞 ( I also like the sound of Devialet Phantom I or II, but it also expensive for their prices ) By the way, nice reviews as always Buddy.. 🥰👍🏻

    I actually haven’t tried the gold so I can’t comment, but it’s definitely not the same price. If you’re getting a pair of the phantom for stereo, it’s gonna be almost $10k here in Singapore… as opposed to $4k for the KEF that comes with both

    I have had the opportunity to try these speakers without the sub. While the mids really sparkled and was absolutely stunning, I found the sound staging to be inferior when compared to 2 Sono Fives + Sub. The sonos setup didn’t sound as sweet but sounded much bigger and fuller and seemed to cover a much wider spectrum of sound. I also experienced connectivity issues with the WL2 where the music played directly from the built-in wifi via a streaming service would skip to the next track in the middle of a song. I ultimately returned the unit due to concerns over the connectivity issue.

  • @Audiofied

    @Audiofied

    2 жыл бұрын

    Interesting, thanks for your opinion! I thought the staging already sounded super good on these. I'll have to go down to the Sonos showroom and request to try your setup. I didn't notice connectivity issues in your sense though, but that would definitely warrant a return. Although that could also be because I typically played music from the streaming service itself!

    Why on earth would I pay 3000 and need a sub to go with them. Ridiculous

  • @Dasbeerboots

    @Dasbeerboots

    Жыл бұрын

    You need a sub with 99.9% of speakers. Why is that a question? You're paying $2800 because these 2 DACs, four amplifiers, two crossovers, two high pass filters, two wifi antennas, two Bluetooth antennas, two heat sinks, a network streamer, the Uni-q driver array borrowed from $35,000 speakers, and many other features that I didn't name. If you tried to replicate this two channel system with a separate streamer, amplifier with 750W of power, and pair of speakers with equal sound quality, I wouldn't be surprised if it cost you $20,000. $2800 isn't cheap by any means, and I'll be looking for a used sale on these, but it's an absolute steal for what you get. You'll have the added benefit that this setup only requires 3 cables total to connect to your TV. One power cable per speaker, and one HDMI. Everything is hidden.

    Yes, it sounds crap when you are off axis. Really need to be in the sweet spot to listen to these speakers. Not very practical as listeners don’t sit still in the sweet spot all the time.
