If you need to use your propane to heat your RV you need to use the other onboard hydrocarbon to move the rig to a warmer climate. The reason that folks RV in winter weather is that they did it when they were young children. They got brain damage from getting too cold one winter and they just don know any better later in life. Yes I grew up in Michigan but my parents were very careful not let me get brain damage from the cold. Just don't tell Mike Wendland I'm talking about him. Keep the good stuff coming guys.

I bought a 12 volt heating pad for the propane tanks and the lithium battery. I do get into some 0 degree Fahrenheit once in a while. The heating pad is 12x24" and has an 8 foot cord that will reach from my power outlet out the door to the propane compartment as well as the battery compartment and my feet in bed if I so choose. It's perfect for my Four Wheel Camper. Got it last fall. I have yet to put it to use except to test it and its reach.

Don’t hate me cause I like skiing. Got the two propane jackets and they paid from themselves after one season.

We choose to use an oil radiator heater on our recent trip to the smokeys. I felt it was a safe way to heat the rv. After further research, we found that the ac can be upgraded to include a heat pump. Thanks for idea on tank heaters. That will help too. Although, we don't winter camp, the last trip caught me by surprise and I hated it. Cold weather camping sucks!

Thanks for the cold weather tips, this along with the home study course I will be prepared for cold weather camping, but I do have a question. Would there be any benefit to covering the exposed black pipe caring the propane to inside the trailer with foam pipe insulation? Thanks.

How cold does it have to get where I have to heat the tanks? If I have to use electricity to keep my propane warm, I'll just use the space heater we carry when we have electric hook up. We usually use the propane heat when we boondock overnight at a Cracker Barrel on our way to a Florida. I've never had a problem with cold propane tanks.

2023 twilight, heat locks out in middle of night, only if below 40. If 50 heat runs all.night. dealer tested propane pressure, ok. I changed sail switch and high temp limit switch. Thinking about trying another propane source to heat only and see what happens. Any advice? I have to fix this myself even though under warranty. Thanks Dennis

At what point (temperature) should implement these great recommendations for heating my propane tanks? In other words, how cold is too cold? Thanks!

Would a 12V tank heater pad that's designed for water/dump tanks work?
