Due to unforeseen circumstances, I have a scheduled c-section for the 19th, so I understand the waiting and anticipation . I’ve also had to stop doing the bulk of the house chores the last month so I’m also chomping at the bit to get back into my routine. Praying for everything to go smoothly and a speedy recovery for both of us.

Praying you and baby have a smooth and safe delivery! If you haven’t already, see if your hospital offers a “gentle c-section.” I had that with my second and it was awesome (as awesome as a c-section can be). I got to see her immediately, got skin to skin with her within minutes, and the hospital did everything they needed with the baby in the recovery room, so she was never out of my sight, and only out of my arms for a few minutes at a time. If I ever get pregnant again, I am hoping for a home VBAC, but if that doesn’t work out, gentle c-section it will be!

Good luck on your c-section! Speedy recovery to you. Make sure to keep up on your pain meds to keep your pain at a min. I found that out the hard way when I had mine. I waited a little to long and man did it suck

Instead of freezer meals I just bought some things that my husband was good at cooking. He says as long as I tell him what to make he can just cook. Also...the freezer doesn't have a lot of space. Then there is pizza and chicken strip and fries.😀

Something about women preparing for a homebirth makes my heart profoundly happy. 😊❤ With my last homebirth, I'd set aside our dingy towels to use and managed to get everything I didn't mind trashing organized. My labor was so long and a bit different than my others. Once active labor began, it went so quickly, my husband ended up just grabbing whatever was in the bathroom, which was the best towels, of course. Baby was born in our bathroom right over our new bath mat. 😅 Best of luck to you, although I believe you dont need it, as it's obvious to me you and your family are highly favored by the Creator. 🙏🏼 Will still keep y'all in my prayers. So cool you and your sister will have babies so close!

I love watching your channel. Even though I am way past time for having any more children I enjoy watching you prep for yours. I brag about you all the time. Your ability to raise what will be soon 8 children is mind blowing. I remember having just 2 children was a lot of work. I had my tubes tied after my son was born. I had toxemia with both children and my doctors were very fearful I wouldn’t make it through another birth. Your home making skills are stellar. I find myself pulling ideas from the things that you do. Thank you for being such a giving gentle soul, and teaching others about having a farmhouse and everything that goes along with it. I used to have a two acre garden but that is cut back now. I now care for my 89 year old mother who is having health issues. It’s an honor to do for her because she did so much for my brother and I when I was growing up. God bless you and your family.

You'll be able to wear the new baby outside for months to come due to the birth month. It is a gift to have relatives and church family to help provide during the "4th trimester" of infant care. It is hard on children's caregivers to have to buy extra supplies, if things don't arrive with all needed components. Thanks for going over the details of what you think is essential & helpful.

I love those kiwico crates! As a nanny, it was so fun to help kids out with putting things together, and even watch them be engaged and ask them to let me know if they wanted my help, or sometimes they just enjoyed working on it by themselves. We would all sit at the table together, each boy had his own project, and I would just ask questions and be engaged and available if they needed my help or encouragement, or we would share a little bit of history about the projects together. I also realized, they were confidence building for me, as I was not handy, but kids that age don’t notice and are excited to have their sense of accomplishment when it’s all assembled. It’s a great practice for engaged quality time together, or if they need a fun quiet activity to work on, way more fun and engaging than TV, and the kids are more calm, focused, well-behaved, and a joy to be around. They work great for summer projects to break up the doldrums or boredom during the day, and inspire creativity toward other projects and games!

I just had my second child, a little boy. Definitely feeling the difference of how their clothes are less fun than they’ve been for my daughter. Trying to find cute options for him is challenging! This was a fun video to watch. Freezing bagels was a great idea! I made a huge batch of energy balls and froze those. They were fantastic to pull out and snack on when I needed some extra protein.

Hardboiled eggs. Praying that both you, Lisa, and your sister have safe deliveries and healthy babies! I am going to have to source your sourdough starter.
