Another idea I forgot to mention in the video is listening to an in depth audio book. Listening to music unfortunately has its limitations.

I have driven back and forth 100 miles a day round trip for work for over 30 years . And i go from one state to another and go through a big downtown city on my drive . I don't engage in road rage . I just pay attention to my driving and safety . I laugh at people who are full of road rage . It's such a waste of time . Biggest tip . Leave early to avoid rush hour . And don't worry about people behind you . They are unhappy clowns . Good luck with your new job 👍 .

My plan is to leave 10 to 15 minutes earlier as that does beat most of the rush hour traffic in my area. Afternoon commute luckily is a breeze.👍

0:57 also I think road rage is real in the U.S. it's just stress people experience day to day, and for some, it's the last straw when someone brake checks them. Also good luck in your new job bro I hope it works out. One technique I use for stressful situations is box breathing. There are a lot of videos on it.

Not making a right turn on a free right red has made some people unhinged, based on personal experiences which is why I’ll choose routes where I don’t feel pressured to make a right turn on a red even though it’s permitted.

I had a road rage incident recently where a guy stopped in front of my car and started screaming outside my window

That’s why I typically leave myself enough room between I and the car in front of me that in the event someone approaches my window with a weapon in hand I can drive off.

I lost one of my wireless ear buds, so I only have one, but it turns out its best of both worlds as I focus on sounds of driving , but got a little some some on the side. Nothing like a flat earth debate driving into work. Little crypto news update, maybe some vids about how bad modern dating is. Makes the drive 10x more enjoyable. I have unlimited data on my phone plan tho.

Driving in winter is even worse, especially in rural areas. Very icy roads and then someone always licking your bumper. I always try to go slower in those conditions because I know how easy it is to lose control, even with studded tires. But where I live a lot of people still drive fast in those conditions. Then I usually get off on the side and let them pass

I notice that drivers are getting more and more aggressive these days. I'm hearing more horns honking on the streets. A few years ago, I was working a stressful Call Center job at a car dealership and had a caller yelling at me how angry he was how much it would cost to repair his broken car horn. I was thinking he probably wore out his car horn for slamming on it too much in traffic. I have major driving anxiety, especially on the freeway. I hate being honked at, especially if I'm too slow to make a right turn on a free red light, but I try to be cautious.

It makes me wonder how many wrecks have been caused by people who go into traffic because of someone blasting their horn and then proceed even though it’s not safe because they feel pressured by the other driver honking the horn. When people tailgate me it makes me feel pressured to go faster and if I cannot find a spot to pull over and let them go by it causes me anxiety.

Good luck with the new job. I think people who are genuinely happy normaly don't act so rude. You never know what's going on in someones live. Maybe wife left, maybe jobloss, maybe just a horrible 12 hour shift at work. Then I remind myself that I can't allow other peoples unhappyness to ruin my day. If I got stressed and angry I might ruin someone elses day by yelling at my waiter. It is as if this hatefulness anger and agression was contagious like a disease.

Thank you. Very true in what you mentioned. One thing that my therapist help pointed out about people tailgating is the possibility of them having a medical emergency. This is why I find myself pulling over several times as it’s better to just let them by and not get riled up. It can be stressful when there is no place to pull over and sometimes I find myself risking going into the ditch.

I live in a rural residential area with people jogging and walk their dogs and people will close 1000 feet on me within seconds even when doing 4 to 8 miles an hour over the speed limit. I’ve had two near misses with pedestrians and that was going only one or two miles an hour over the speed limit. Had I been doing 10 or more over around the particular corner, lives would have been destroyed. Now, I often go below the speed limit on residential corners as joggers can come up surprisingly.

Don. in your Video's past' You made statements about not liking being judge by others (online key board warriors) but continue to uploads (of this kind) that cause those pest to watch and talk Sh$t. You have to sit back and think MMM SHOULD I POST THIS!! Now i know there is a double side to the video but most will not get it. I'll still to not driving at curtain times of the day and have a 90% COCOA nibs with sea salt ready to munch on. much better feeling then pushing liquid fire out at the end of the day.

As someone else mentioned in a previous video, as long as I’m not doing anything explicit or offensive then I’m not concerned about it. There is no stopping the keyboard warriors unless I disable comments. Disabling comments would make uploading less enjoyable.
