Our composite genetics including Angus, Charolais, Hereford, South Poll, and Barzona cows crossed to South Poll and Black Angus bulls. Those are nice Angus/SP crosses. If you need a black hide, they're just the ticket. I've been impressed with how few flies Warpaint has. All is well here.
Our ‘22 calf crop are 1/2 South Poll 1/2 Angus. I’ve been really pleased with the calves so far. I’ll keep a handful of heifers and I’m looking forward to seeing how they grow out. Trying to breed the leg out of ours, too.

How old are the heifers when you expose them to the bull? Do you wean?
