0:18 noo why did it end so fast?
You dang kids! Quit jazzing all over my pop tunes!
That look of joy and fun that’s on Adam’s face at 0:18 that’s why I’m getting back into music. Look how much fun he’s having!
Because he plays so passively i forget the chops on adam... jesus man that was crazy
You rock Adam! Ether in the background, i like
10 years later Adam.....:-)) I think many of us wished you were our next door neighbour!
You're really a great inspiration to me! I've been playing the bass for around 1 year now, and i feel like i'm making progress! Maybe i can one day be as good as you if i keep my practicing up! :D

Hi Adam! Big fan of your videos, I learn so much and you have such well read insights into music. I love the 16 th octave jumps you do at the end! Advice for good technique and a way to approach it? Many thanks :)
This guy is so pro!
Sir, you're the best.
Hey Adam I love your videos man! Can you explain based on what did you reharmonize this tune? Keep making this awesome videos!
Damn this goes hard right before you cut it off, would love a full, or at least more extended than 20 seconds version of this
hahaha awww you left out the best part in the lesson, 0:16 to 0:19 sounds so damn cool

Thank you, yes! The jazzy Kesha is cool, but that part is similar to the synth bass line from Blue Monday (but played with a syncopation from a different section of that part) and I've been trying to figure it out. It stars with C# on the A string (4th fret) and an octave up (6th on G), then down to B (2nd on A, 4th on G), then up to E (7th A, 9th G) then I think down to A (5th on E, 7th on D). I slowed the audio down to 25% in Capo, and I think it's 1/8th the low note, and 2 1/16ths of the upper note, then repeat low 1/8th, 2xhigh@1/16th for the first three, then 1/8 and 1/8th of the final As, but I could easily be wrong. (so one-e-and-a - low on one, hold over "e" then upper note on "and" and "a" to beat a dead horse.) Hard to play that fast as a human, much easer when it's an arpeggiator like the original.

@@tomdchi12 Yeah it's a pretty iconic sound that I've heard elsewhere that absolutely works for this piece. The original is so bloody thin in sound compared to the 19 seconds we get of Neely playing the song at tempo
Hi, Adam. Love your work, saw you with Rick Beato. Just wondering about copyright. Did you get a license for using this song? My guess is no, because it's only a small portion of it. But I wonder because of the corporate robots that search youtube for copyrighted content. Would you consider doing a full cover of a song and getting a mechanical as well as a sync license? Do you know if this is what a lot of KZread cover folks do? Thanks for your input. BASS
