The Jewish religion is probably the only non-missionary religion in the whole world. They never convert people into their Judaism. Jew means a birthright. That is what the special characteristic of Judaism. Because of that, they have no enmity to any religion unless others interfere in their religious affairs. I don't rule out the possibility that a minority of religious fanatics may be there which is the result of their suffering from the people of other nations. Otherwise, their religion is unharmful.

ഞാൻ ഈ സിനഗോഗിനുള്ളിൽ കയറി കാണാൻ കുറെ വർഷങ്ങൾക്ക് മുൻപ് കുടുംബമായി പോയിരുന്നു. കൊച്ചി ബോട്ടുജെട്ടിയിൽ നിന്നും ബോട്ടിൽ യാത്ര ചെയ്ത് മട്ടാഞ്ചേരിയിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ വൈകിട്ട് 5 മണി. 5 മണിയായാൽ സിനഗോഗ് അടക്കും. പക്ഷേ, എനിക്കതറിയില്ലായിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട് പുറത്ത് നിന്ന് എല്ലാം കണ്ടു. പുരാതന ശവക്കല്ലറകൾ ചരിത്രകുതുകിയായ എനിക്ക വളരെ താൽപര്യം ഉണ്ടാക്കി. ഒടുവിൽ അകത്ത് കയറിയില്ലെങ്കിലും മട്ടാഞ്ചേരി തെരുവും ബോട്ടു യാത്രയും ആസ്വദിച്ചും സിനഗോഗിന്റു പുറത്ത് നിന്ന് ഫോട്ടോകൾ എടുത്തും തിരികെ വന്നു.
