"I'll have you without your armour or not at all" then walks away - I like that. It's like she's reasserting that attempting to willfully take away his 'armour' would be wrong because his trauma belongs to him only and she cannot share in it. So she realises that her interests are not what is best for him. You can help someone feel safe around you but interfering with their personal choice to open up would be hurting rather than helping. That stuff has to come from within. He wants to be with Inej but is not ready and so her leaving him alone after seeing that he is still scared may not seem like it but is an act of love to him and to herself.

This is the reassurance that I needed regarding these two. Let me tell you, I finished the series like a week ago (haven't read the books yet, but I'm on it!) and Inej leaving him like that didn't sit right with me. So for the past few days I've been thinking about different ways of "showing affection without skin-to-skin touching" that exist in the world. I've been looking for an excuse that could've made Inej stay with Kaz and I mean from nose kisses to dry humping... 😅 But now that I've read your comment I can rethink my pov about that scene and Kanej's relationship. 💞👌🏼

The thing that gets me every time is when Inej stands up and goes over to him in the church, demanding to know if there was ever another dream, and genune *fear* flashes in kaz's eyes. He is *terrified* of this girl that is truly the only one who could break him and destroy him if she truly wanted to.

3:26 the WAY Freddy hitched his breath and it looked like he was trying to stop his lips from blurting out the word “you” - the CHOKEHOLD these two have over me is unreal 😩

1:08 I find this moment SO underrated. Kaz probably never thought he'd hear her say those words to him out loud. Freddy's acting is so good subtle and good there.

I know that some people might ship inej with tolya as well and there's nothing wrong with that every one has there opinion about shows but I personally would like to be inej with kaz not because they look good together but because kaz needs inej in his life without her I don't know what he will become because inej is the only purest form in his life which gives him comfort and happiness from within even though he doesn't show it so pls pls let kaz and inej be together 😊
