Kayte and my fellow Kings fan! We made it! I rarely leave a comment on KZread but i've been a fan since 2001 C-webb era when i was a kid growing up in Taiwan. I was 10 and I still remember I would be jumping around in front of TV for Kings playoff game and model my game with the pass-first team that all the '01 players i looked up to. I then moved to PDX when I was 14yo, and went to Kings game almost every year @ Rose Quarter up until a few years when I moved to China last few years. Only wished i could have been there last night. I just remember through my childhood, college, young adult life, or even now in Shanghai...I get questioned by my friends a lot of why I am still a fan of this team, but even teased at me at times. i am so so so proud of what we as fans, people from SacTown, the staff, coach, and players have accomplished. This has been amazing, and let's keep grinding!

My buddy has been a Kings fan since I've known him...2005. He went THROUGH it supporting this team. We're both fans of the Raiders and A's, but I'm a Lakers fan. And we were both ASS in the mid-2010's but it at least looked like we had a clue. Kings were the laughingstock of the league...so to see this turned around, to see Sac come out and support this squad, I'm legit happy for you guys. Folks talked about y'all moving to Seattle...and now you're on the rise. I hope you draw the Warriors and get the attention so deserving of this squad. LIGHT THE MF BEAM

This was awesome...I have been a Kings fan literally my entire life. I was a little kid in Omaha when they were the Kansas City/Omaha Kings for a while, and my Dad took me to a few games where I saw guys like Tiny Archibald and Sam Lacy hoop it up. We later moved to Sacramento around the mid 70s and to my surprise the team followed us in the mid-80s :). I'll never forget 3/29/23.

Same path for me as well. Kansas City Kings, Kemper Arena, to Sacramento.

I got emotional, I was 8 years old watching Christine, Bibby, Jackson, miller, Peja, win games at Arco arena and make their last final entrance, this brought so much overwhelming emotion saying we did it, we finally fucking did it, no more shit talk, no more hate saying we don't deserve a franchise, well we finally fucking did it and we can finally hold a smile with a middle finger to every hater who doubted, going to remember this team and moment forever ♥️🙏

I have been a fan since they move here frm Kansas City , I watch them in Arco 1 then Arco 2 become Sleep train we paid standing room ticket , my parents are die hard fans we bought so Many humbergers still have those bubble heads of the players in 1998- 2002 , we went to New Jersey for vacation in 2002 we have to rush back to our hotel so we could watch them play in Baltimore my nephews place I remember when we got cheated by the referees against the Lakers lots of memories thanks

i terribly miss rooting for the kings but after time and time again seeing the nba prove they are not a legitimate organization i cannot in any way support the league. as for the fans that still think the league is real i am so happy for you and i truly wish i could be there with you.

Kayte got me tear up a bit. What I missed and remembered of the Kings is the Championship game that was robbed from them against the Lakers. I remembered vividly how the refs keep calling defensive foul after defensive foul against the Kings and keep putting Kobe Bryant at the line and that's how they got back into the game. There were so many suspicious calls...so little contact and yet the refs CONTINUE sending Bryant to the line. Lakers were down by a huge margin. I just couldn't get over that after that loss. I knew immediately something was going on. And to see report a few years later that the referees who were calling the game were doing gambling or betting? That's f'ed up. So it's not just the Playoffs drought that was dishearten, it's also the atrocity committed by the refs that rob us of a Championship. The Kings were clearly the better team...more talented and should go on to win it all.

And back then OTHER Lakers players were getting called for Kobe and Shaq's fouls!!! I had hoped the new Commissioner would clean up the referee problem but he hasn't... not completely. Dont forget there have been 3 or 4 games earlier THIS SEASON when the referees tipped the scales on the blatantly wrong direction. This should have been achieved a week or so ago. Kudos for Coach Brown for stick up for his players and we have seen less of it. Here's hoping Scott Foster decides to take vacation during the upcoming playoffs!?!
