What an awesome guy Kayko is and even though he didn’t go any further he has a bright future. His stage presence alone will take him far.

You can really tell he loves performing and being on stage and he's really good at it!

Every time I see Kayko, I see a performer ☺️ I can see him starring in movies or shows in the future.

I agree. I was excited for idol every week FOR HIM. Can’t wait to buy his first album. Keep rocking KAYKO!!

Kayko will be missed! I enjoyed his spots at the piano and his energy as he used every inch of the floor these past few weeks. He had quite a few things going for him: A 👀 look that rips through the audience, a unique sound and energy. He may not be the technical vocalist, but he is music and such a performer!

Love Kayko... he owns that stage! Such self confidence, stage representation and eye contact. He interacts with the audience too. I wish American Idol spent some time teaching the others to move and own that stage like Kayko just did=) great job❤

What I love about Kayko’s performances-especially this one-is that he performs more like a guest star than a contestant. Totally in the moment with no inhibitions. He didn’t need to win Idol-he just needed to get exposure for his talents on a larger scale and those weeks on Idol did that.

THIS IS LIKE A FRESH AIR IN THE ACTUAL MUSIC TIME! THANKS FOR THIS KAYKO!!!!!!!

This and McKenna’s performances were the best of the night. I was shocked that he was eliminated. Hopefully he continues doing what he’s doing. He’s an awesome performer.

I get it why he wasn’t voted into the top 8. He honestly doesn’t have the greatest voice. But his stage presence and the way he works the crowd is incredible and far ahead of the other contestants on the show. He didn’t win American Idol, but someone WILL sign him to a record contract, and he’ll put on a very entertaining live show. Kayko’s future is VERY bright. The music industry’s past is full of people like Bob Dylan and Tom Petty who didn’t have great voices, but were phenomenal songwriters and performers.

Baffles me that he went out on this performance. I’ve watched Idol a long damn time and VERY FEW contestants have this level of performance quality.

he is SO. SPECIAL!!!!!!!! i haven't been blown away by a stage performance on idol since gabby barrett's "little red wagon" and ANYTHING cade foehner. AAAAAAH!!!

What stage presence!!! Worked the crowd and the camera. Worked with the band. Total performance!

I think he was voted off because people realized he didn't need the show anymore to make it. Well, at least not as much as most of the contestants.

Ok so let me get this straight. This guy has been doing his own thing pretty much the whole time and everyone was loving it. The SECOND he starts taking risks and doing something a little different people start writing him off? I don’t get it. He didn’t deserve to go

I've got to see this kid in concert. Every time I watch his performances he puts me in the best mood. He just has the it factor! His stage presence, just pulls in the crowd and everyone just wants to have fun with him. All of his songs that he has written are relatable to everyones lives at some point. Every song makes you feel something. He is the first contestant that has this amazing energy around him that can light up a stage.

I have to say for me, you were the best part of watching american idol. Your talent for lyrics and music will definitely take you far in life! You have a fan for life, cant wait to hear more music from you @kaykomusic ! Thanks for showing your talents im so glad i watched this season of americab idol 🎉

I fully expected that performance last night was going to get him in the Top 8. And did he EVER make the right decision on switching songs! One thing I’m happy to know is even those that don’t wind up in the top 3 are going to have careers. So much talent this season.

I loved this performance. Sad to see him go. In a way, I think it was best that he loses. I might be reaching the heck out of this, but his whole journey reminds me of those 2000s movies where the main character tries to fit in for the whole movie (like his original song about being an accidental idol contestant) only to realize at the end that he doesn't have anything to prove. He just needs to be himself. Kayko singing Teenage Dirtbag seemed so out of place in the best way possible. I feel like his performance was the only one that screamed "I am Kayko". And at the end, he didn't win the show, but he won at life by being himself. It was awesome.

They did songs in the year born in. He was born in 2000 and All the Small Things came out in 1999. Therefore, he would not have been able to cover the song.
