Kayak Camping Trailer Build | Part 6 | Adjustable Awning & Lights!! DIY
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This week on Kayak USA, I added a NEW 79" CVT awning! I built a custom telescopic mounting system for it so I can set it to any height or angle that I need while out kayak camping. The awning is amazing and easy to set up, it even has a build in LED light that is dimmable! Thanks for watching and be sure to SUBSCRIBE !! Follow along as we build the ultimate kayak camping trailer!!!

Merry Christmas..........🎅🤶🧑🎄🎄
I need this trailer for my Jeep camping trailer.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Great job and might I suggest that you paint a small area around the inside tubing so you know where the last hole is. When I built my awning holder I don’t know how many times I lifted it up to much and it was a pain to get it back in the hole by yourself.
Merry Christmas!!!

Note to self....I need to learn to weld. I just built an AC unit using your model with a few tweaks of my own! This is awesome and I'm working on a trailer of my own!
Merry Christmas!

Yes yu chip and weld on
Merry Christmas Kayak USA family!!!
Merry Christmas..!!!
Flappy wheels are your friend
Coolio - and it would not be hard to add a mosquito net that would drape around the awning.
Your build inspired me to build my rzr trailer like this. How did you get the 1-1/4 to slide in the 1-1/2 so easily mine wants to bind up. Thanks.
Do you think that same set up could be used to support a roof top tent with 2 people sleeping in it as well? I am thinking about doing something similar because I want to be able to carry my atv on the trailer, and then have the roof top tent and a canopy above that for setting up after getting to camp.
Love how u r PIMPIN this trailer out Saawweeeeeet.
I would end up spinning it around from time to time if solo camping, and putting my sleep system on the trailer under the awning. MY kayak supports are made in the same way in a removable rack, and trailer cotter pins holding it all down with the trailet lock on a lower hole to prevent theft. Nice job, and looks good.
What gauge of 1 1/2 tubing are you using?
any pond updates

We had a dry spell here, I’ve got about 3 foot in the deep end now 😂, I’ve got to put a well in … ☹️
Love it man awesome stuff
I am enjoying watching this build. What welder are you using?
@KayakUSA1

Thanks, it’s just an old cheapo welder from Tractor Supply. Flux core, no gas. I really need to invest in a nicer one soon 😂

@@KayakUSA1 How about a under truck storage box mounted between the awning supports. Using the door as the table.
Well thought out , will be very functional, and thank you for the video.

Very cool, such a good build out!
When using the drilled square tubing, look into nutserts or nut rivets. They will make your life tons easier.
Really diggin this build, I have 2 questions…your main supports for the awning. What length are the black supports and the inserts. Thanks !!

This build is so cool. I am looking forward to seeing how you have it set up for a camping trip. It will be cool seeing it actually used. It's to good looking to get dirty! Greg

Sounds like you "might want 2 holes each leg with dual pins... Just saying... But seriously clever mounting and adjusting idea.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Might I also suggest painting the trailer Gray with finders and front cargo left black for accents and Gray for the body to reduce heat build up in tubing. Or you could paint it Green to match the shade color.

@@KayakUSA1 some weeks I put in 84 hours. I know the pain. Before being transferred to this facility, I worked just 40 hours weeks. I guided, fished tournaments and made custom tackle as well as airbrushed 80 different kinds of cranks, and swim baits
I know these types of projects are "never done", but would you be willing to do a complete walk around of this trailer with everything open? I'm really digging the layout of this trailer

Man, very nice. I have been following this build from its inception. I wish I had the knowledge, skill, and know how to do things like this. Great series of videos as always. Thanks for doing what you do. Keep them coming. Very informative, fun, and easy vids to watch. You mix the perfect amount of talk with action, unlike 98% of tubers. Awesome. Great idea. Thanks again!

What is the purpose of the green waffle material on the side of the trailer under the tent?
@KayakUSA1

Those are called Traction boards, if your vehicle gets stuck in mud or snow or sand…, you put them under the tire for traction . Self recovery 👍🏼

Dude; great video, love your rig! Just have to say that your flag is being displayed backwards. The field of stars on blue should always be displayed in the upper left hand corner. You are legit, your flag should be too.
