Yes, and heavy and sturdy...
It has some nice line variation for writing and shading!

I really like this tool for note taking or sketching.
Is there a sharpener available for a 5.6 lead?..thank you xx
Brass for the Kaweco Sketch up pencil, or Aluminum?? What would perform better for sketching/drawing??
Hiya do you know whether it is possible to use the Koh-I-Noor 5.6mm lead refills in the sketch up as they come in a different range of colours to the kaweco ones

Hi! They do not fit because Koh-i-Noor refills are longer than this pencil. You will need to break the Koh-I-Noor lead to make it shorter and then it will fit.

@@OdE-ObjectosdeEscritaYeah, I thought as much. It's just I also noticed that the kaweco refills for this pencil as listed on cult pens also mentioned that the lead that was slightly under 5.6 ie 5.5 mm for and work better than the 5.6 mm . Anyway, thanks for the quick response and your review which I found very useful

@@veedubya8463 Thank you! With this pencil I only had one problem once. There was a lead (don't remember the brand) that warped inside and gor stuck. I had to destroy the lead inside the pencil to have it back to work again.
Thanks for the review! Do the Koh I Noor 5340 Last? I hear they get loose with time.

I don't use it daily, but I had no problem with them (meanwhile I have two)1

That is not true. All these 5.6mm hexagonal pencils, can be deassembled for cleaning, maintainanceance. Those people who complain about unscrewing, are those who dont know how to properly unscrew the button/sharpener.So they unacrew the front part too. 5340 works and performs above its pricepoint! Its consideted the best 5.6mm leadholder for a reason! I sharpen the Red chalks I use on it or the graphite leads, with a common pencil sharpener. Its easily both the best sketching pencil and rhe most versatile one!!
Nice review congratulations, but the weight of two models is the same? I would like to order the chromed model but if it is in aluminum and therefore lighter then I prefer the brass model. You who have both could give me some advice on weight. Thank you.

Thank you for your comment. The weight is almost the same. Empty (without lead inside) the weight of the Brass version is 41 g and the Chrome version is 42 g. I hope this helps you to decide.

@@OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita Thanks a lot for the answer. Today I received my kaweco pencil and it is fantastic ... I bought the chrome model and I am really satisfied. Beautiful pencil. I also bought the pen refill and it is really beautiful.

I can't be sure, maybe it will depend if you carry it unprotected with coins or keys. I carry it always in a leather pouch. Mostly Kaweco eco pouches.
