Just bought one. Smooth machine. Prodigious power. Excellent handle despite the weight. Smaller bikes drain their tanks trying to keep pace with me while my fuel last all day!

Nice one, glad you are enjoying it. Sounds like the carbs need balanced. That should solve the running rough at low revs.

Generally they are very reliable and are capable of very high mileages. Watch out for the usual bike problems like pitted forks, you would need to have a good look as they are a bit enclosed. Early models have been known to have warped cylinder heads but you would notice that with a smokey exhaust. These are very fast but controllable bikes and I would not recommend opening it up unless you are on a straight road with nothing in front of you as it will reach silly speeds very quickly. Good luck
