Great footage. Just bought a zzr1200 today. So smooth and refined. Powerful torque without having to punish the engine. Stunning looks.

I really like how this bike looks and sounds. Just one question: how does it behave on twisties/cornering?

Thank you, it rains most of the time here and that is why it is so green.

Probably the carbs need balanced, you can get a balance gauge off eBay and get an auxiliary petrol tank too as that is essential to keep the petrol flowing into the engine to get an accurate reading on the gauges. If you are not mechanically minded you could get a bike shop to do it for you.

Tony Kitchen Hi Tony, it is a GoPro Hero 4 silver set at 1080p as that gives the best overall quality. I have a chest harness for it as mounting it on the bike does not work as the image shakes all over the place with the vibration.

Jeff s Excellent bike, it is like a GPZ900 with a body kit on it, more power and better handling. I find it is a very easy going bike that will potter round country lanes but get it on the motorway and it will turn into a monster as is very easy to go over 100mph so you need to watch what you are doing as at 100 it still has another 80mph+ in reserve. It is a big bike until you sit on it as the riding position is knees up and lean forward so when you are riding it the bike feels smaller than it really is. Good seat for pillion passengers too without their legs being cramped. Mine is a 2002 and I have no intentions of changing it. Servicing is easy too as the oil can be changed without taking the fairing apart as everything is accessible underneath. I recommend upgrading the air filter to a K&N that can be had on eBay for about £40.00 as that makes a difference to the flow through the engine.

Donald Ballantyne Thank you for the reply. I had a GPZ900 back in the day, should have never sold it. I pick up my ZZR1200 today!

Jeff s Excellent, you will not be disappointed, I found the ZZR1200 was like getting an old friend back. I had a GPZ900 for 15 years and had to sell it when times got hard, broke my heart at the time but the ZZR is a better bike so it all worked out in the end. Let me know how you get on.

I will. Still have my RD350 tucked away in the garage and a 2003 KX500 that is my get stupid bike. Finding that I don't bounce as well at 51.

Jeff s Nice collection, the KX500 sounds wicked but I think I would break myself on something like that as I am 51 too. I invested in a Harley wide glide to slow me down, then I discovered I can plug it into the computer and tune the engine (living in the future with no toolbox required) so it is now one of the fastest bikes away from the traffic lights in the area but guzzles petrol at a fearsome rate, totally rubbish on the corners though.
