Let sealant dry for 20min,before installing cover... It needs rubber consistency to seal....put on too fast will just push it out

This is a good vid well made and highlights the place of the last clutch plate ! i have a zzr1100 that have worked on many the times as i have 125000 miles on the clock, but the one thing that i might say is put the bike on the side stand this will make the oil go to the left of the engine and then you will not have to drain it out to work on the clutch , On my bike i have replaced the starter clutch chain adjuster with a manule one , This because they always break and can cause a lot of damage when they go !!

Do yourself a favor and get a set of T-handle Allen head/hex wrenches. Use them once and you will probably throw all those crappy little ones away. $20.00 will get a decent set. And as much as you use them / almost every thing on a bike has 1 or 2 Allen's in the mix. Good vid. Thanks for posting.

Good vid. That pressure plate has all those nics on it from the chain tensioner. Buy a Compton or Quiks tamer and install. I know you used sealer but the manual does call for a dry gasket.

There is a hardened steel washer that rides on the small roller thrust bearing I think I heard it drop during dismantling and not in during assembly. Also I have found that aftermarket friction disks have slightly more slot clearances in the grouves than the genuine parts . Just some tips.

@@djzorch I'm pretty sure he means the chain tensioner for the starter chain right next to the clutch basket. It's a part that's broken on my zzr 1200. It's a problem sometimes because it can hit the clutch basket when you start the bike if not setup correctly like he said it can cause major issues

That center piece that pushes the plate out for neutral is pushed out and stuck. How can I get that back close to the housing bolt? Is that why my lever will no longer move?
@randysmith31602 жыл бұрын
I just replaced the clutch fibers, steels, springs on a 99 zrx1100 it's still slipping and now it's dragging! I'm thinking is the slave cylinder or master cylinder!

So I burnt my clutch out and am replacing it. When putting the spring bolts back on mine when I get to 11nm 8ft lb my springs are far to collapsed and my clutch lever won’t pull in at all. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the video. I picked up a 1999 ZRX1100 that is a project bike. It’s been sitting for many years. My question is , are most of the parts on the 1200 interchangeable with the 1100? I am having difficulties finding replacement parts for the 1100. Are you aware of any other Kawasaki motorcycle that the parts are interchangeable with the zrx1100? Thanks

Hi buddy, there is a drain bolt at the bottom of the sump. Undo the bolt and oil will drain. Below you have a link to a video showing it kzread.info/dash/bejne/nZ5hs5R_nb3cibg.html

That's a very educational video. I've got clutch issues on my zrx1200r. Too much play.my question is if i have to replace clutch like in the video, what tools do i require? Mind you, it's going to be the first time I do anything mechanical on the bike. Going to a repair garage is too expenaive now. So it would be helpful if u can give some insight.

Does it need sealant in you’re fitting a new gasket?

No. That would be a Harley Davidson you're thinking of. And he used way too much on his bike anyway. What ever sealant gets inside the engine can clog tiny oil ports in the engine. That could be very bad news.

Why soak something in oil for 12hrs that is non porous. Dip in oil and make sure they are covered in oil and assembly. No problem.
