Some idiots say Kawasaki engine is bulletproof 🤣 even Splendor engine is bulletproof it is made by Honda, even boxer was made by Kawasaki. Who the hell would want a bulletproof dead slow bike at the price of a premium bike.

Maybe Kawasaki was getting nostalgic about the Bajaj Kawasaki Caliber and decided to launch this. It makes financial sense in countries like Indonesia where large displacement motorcycles are expensive but not here in India.

I was super excited when I saw W175. But from the reviews I found that CT125x is more VFM instead of W175 at half of its price.

@Leo yes. There's no big change in power figures and Bajaj has learnt from Kawasaki only for Boxer series or CT125. If it costed 1.3L on road then for the sake of Kawasaki I would've brought one. But at 1.8 on road too much asking that too without service center in towns. Indeed I have bought CT125x. Very much fun to own. Gives me 60kmpl solid with rash driving. Suspension of CT125x is simply superb and can take pot holes speed bumps so easily.

Kawasaki should have learned from Honda's CB350. A W250 would have given competed with CB350 & Classic 350 while W400 would have competed with RE 650 twins.

Kawasaki is very good bike, only two things is bad ie Price little high and no service centre's available for all over the India, but engine is marvellous.

are you crazy? Splendor returns upwards of 65 km/L. People who buy Splendor value mileage. I have a GT 650 but I still ride my 1999 splendor in city which returns 71 kmpl in city and 80kmpl on open roads(😂 it's not fit to go on a highway anymore 😂😂)

Yeah Kawasaki has fooled Indians into believing its a big name brand like Mercedes is in cars even though internationally it has same image as any other Japanese brand like Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha. People also forgot they used sell boxer under their own name.

Really like the Kawasaki W175 , good for daily commute, long seat good for pilllon , simple bike to have some fun

There is about 100k peso difference in the prices, here in the Philippines. To put it into perspective, you could by the W175 and a Honda XR150, for about the same price as the Hunter. Which makes the W175 a good choice for those you want a classic style bike, at a budget price.

@@Plough78 The Skygo is incredibly cheap, at about 60k pesos. Whereas the XSR is nearly 3 time that price. The XSR also pushes out about 7 more ponies. Personally, I'd go with the XSR. But the Skygo will work well enough, unless you want to take a pillion. For a bit more than the XSR, and still less than the Hunter, you could get Svartpilen 200.

Basically i am down to spend 100,000 pesos, can be second hand or new, I should imagine I'll be carrying a pillion semi frequently, potentially for long distances... I might well go Gypsy not rent accommodation long term initially and just drive all over for a 3-6 months... I'm about to test drive some enfields here in chiang Mai but seems they tad over priced in Php... What you driving yourself and how vibrant is motorbike second hand market there.. 🤔 Thanks for the reply.. Much appreciated.. I wanna (for once) not make a silly knee jerk purchase... 🤣 *Crap Game*

@@Plough78 I've currently got a Sniper 150 (Exciter in most other Asian markets) and a 2016 R3. There are loads of second hand bikes available. But you'll struggle to find an XSR or Svartpilen in that price range, and have absolutely no chance of finding an Enfield below about 180K. I'd go for a second hand Sniper 150, or MT15. You should be able to pick a good one (2 to 4 years old) for 80-100k. If you can stretch to around 120k, you could get a new Sniper 155 (same engine as the XSR, but with a slightly lower compression ratio). I'm a member of the local Sniper club, and our next planned ride is about 400km from Iligan to Dipolog and back.

Excellent video. The bosses in Kawasaki India should know the ground reality and not just look at the excel sheet and ppt presentation of their marketing guys.

W175 will go down as one of the worst bike launches in Indian auto history. Feels like Kawasaki hired Indian government babus for decision making. No idea of ground reality. This bike is 30 yrs late because even Pulsar 180 2002 model make more power and sense.

Best for 5'3" height is W175 with light weight 40 KG less than Hunter, And beyond 80 k/h it's beast.

Simple design, detuned engine for reliability, excellent choice for commuter segment, with 177cc detuned engine easily you can clock to 3L kms. No nonsense bike.

As for the W175 Aesthetics, I think the W175TR is the only way to go. After looking at that for a bit, the normal W175 looks quite wrong. Unfortunately, they seem to sell the W175TR only in a few select markets. If you compare the W175 to the Yamaha XSR155, it's clear right away that the XSR is a better idea, and basically all the W175 has going for it is that it.... looks old..

I think Kawasaki guys haven't done any market analysis, I can't see any value for money in this bike in any manner. There are many better options available in the market.

This video is intentional to downgrade kawasaki 175 😜 which was made in dark ages against hunter 350 which is modern machine.

Complete nonsense w175 millage much higher city- 48-49kmpl, highway- 55-58/kmpl.. Going through spec shit is not a good idea. I suggest everybody should take a test drive. Up to 80kmph no vibrations in the handle. It is a perfect commuter bike. Hunter 350 is not for the city. Its clutch is even tighter than the classic 350.

W 175 is a flop model just like W800.. it's like we will be give donation to Kawasaki when we buy one of these, because we pay a lot more than actually what is delivered.
