From france, very nice of you to share, thank you!
Thanks for sharing this video mate! I’m a huge Kawasaki fan 🤙 Let the good times roll
Another great video!! Thanks for taking the time bringing these amazing photos.
Great job. I really enjoyed watching the color scheme and graphics changes from year to year.

Man that '81 kx 80..was a real game changer for team green..I know the 1983 is legendary..but for 2years the 1981 every would be every young teens dream bike ..I what was mine ..it's really the bike that put Kawasaki on the map

They had a great 125 around that time too. When everything else was a 10,000 rpm screamer, Kawasaki harnessed some great mid range power for the 125's, making it easier to go fast on, (and lasted several years. Yamaha did the same about a decade later). I remember when the amateur starting lines were almost all green for the 125 classes.

@@EarthSurferUSA your right on...in 1984 the kx 125 absolutely blew the doors off the rest .I mean badly..I remember see a few of them line up in late '83 and smoke the field to the holeshot ..all of them..every body was abuzz ..within 1or 2months dam near the whole field was green...previous decade to that was a sea of yellow at thelibe with a little red.although red was not so good ..just yet
your the best TONY!!! thanks
Great video thanks
Thank You Sir.
You should make one on the changes history of the kx60! Absolutely loved the cr80 and 85 breakdown, keep up the awesome work!
I love watching these. The only Kawasaki I ever owned was an 1985 KX 125. It was a fun little bike. Thanks for making the video I've never seen most of the 60s and 70s models.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Really would like to see the rundown of all the specific changes through years would help my 97 build!!!
Cool video
1982 KX250 was my favourite bike of all time (but I'm old AF)
Can you do a history of the KE, KE100? Maybe the widow maker and KH100 tooooo
I had a 1970 Centurion (baby greenstreak) although technically not for Motocross it was for dirt track racing. It was my first factory dirt bike. I didn't know much about mechanical stuff then and I had some trouble with it. I got a 100 bucks for it on trade in on a '73 TM 250 Suzuki. The Suzuki only cost me 700 though.
Yes, Suzuki would be a great video 😊
I remember watching motocross/supercross with my dad throughout the 90’s. (age 3-10) and I was OBSESSED with Kawasakis. I always wanted one. I’m 32 and just got my very first dirtbike. It’s no Kawasaki, but I love it so much. Kawasaki really helped develop my love for bikes
what a great video! thanks for making it. makes u realize time flies by... bikes are getting uglier. the low tank height with flat seat is a worse design imo. 80s and 2000s were peak for KXs.
You should do one on Can-Am's
amazing how advanced the 70's models were

How about the early 80's? By the time the 1986 production rule about tripled the cost of a bike, they already had 12" of suspension travel, Water cooling, Disk brakes, Single shock and linkage rear suspension, upside down forks (not quite on production bikes yet, but being raced and going to be), exhaust power valves, good ergonomic layout and knobby tires, and they only cost about $1,500 in 84. My 2019 2- stroke YZ250 has better suspension, (that was never really good to me in the early 80's, as stock suspension) and a aluminum frame, with a power jet in the carb that came out in the mid 80's, but because of the 1986 rule, the 4-strokes forced on us and some inflation, the cost $7,500 today, and that is a bargain. Ever wonder why the sport is almost dead? The bikes cost $10,000 today, that's why. (#1 factor by far).
This was an honestly sad video... seeing all of the two strokes not be updated as much as the 250/450 😢
There is a guy racing the 450 class named "Mason Kerr". If your Grand Parents did any "canning", (canning their own food), they would remember that name. :)
1994 the best graphics 1995 second best followed by the worst years with purple plastics 1992 is a good year where the shroud graphic continues onto the seat

I agree. I love the look of the 1994 models
Looks like there was some Greeves Challenger inspiration in that early Kawi.
Hey Tony. Is there any chance that you'd ever do a feature video on the 1981 KX range? (Please!)

Sure thing
I would die for a 1991 kx 125
Hi doc vault thanks for full history slide of kawa industries but kawasaki in Japan do make else in space tecnology and naval constructor.
wow took a long time before chassis started becoming more upright and modern, like 91 or 92. Cant believe the engineers didnt figure out that one earlier, same goes for snowmobiles......should have been more obvious.
Could you please give some love to the KLX models as I’m a KLX650 collector. Thank you
love my 02 kx250 2 stroke

I had a f3 bushwacker that was modded out wish I'm not sure which model that the local dealer a patented after but I know it has a zooky piston haha and an expansion chamber and a bigger carburetor and a meal the head four-speed transmission and vibrated like oh my gosh I'm but was it fast I love the electric start I was 10 years old it was a lot of fun just about to give me a bad taste of my mouth though but I went on 30 plus dirt bikes over my life and I'm sure glad that calls like he was part of it
I need som advice. I had a 1986 Kawasaki KX80 as a kid. I want to buy a 1986-1989 KX that looks/feels/sounds like it. But now as a 6'3" and quite heavy adult I of course need something bigger. I was never an advanced driver. Never did wheelies/jumps/tricks. Which model would you recommend? I have a motocross track nearby that I can use as a hobbyist, which is where I'm planning to use it. Looking to purchase a restored one, or have one restored.

I would recommend a Yamaha YZ 125 or YZ 250. They are both great bikes and Yamaha still makes them so there is a ton of aftermarket support when you go to restore them.

@@TheMotocrossVault Thanks. I've been reading up alot on bikes the last few days and I think the 2019 Yamaha YZ250F would be a very good choice for me.
Im a snob about music and fanfares but this one was "right on" It reminded me of 2002 playing sims with rosebud o the joy only now in my 30s its that same good feeling vibe without the hinderance of having to work and plan out my house I just get to look at a very radical evolution of kawis, the brand that hardly cares but makes bikes to just smoke $%^&
They really need to update the kx65 that poor bike is 24 years old even 😂 kids don't want them . With the way these ktms yamaha s look and ride
