Lorsqu'on est animé par une passion, le temps semble s'écouler différemment, et il nous arrive même d'oublier de manger. Certains fume trop, d'autres s'arrache les cheveux, car ce qui compte le plus, c'est l'inspiration et le résultat final de notre travail.

Super remix du nouveau titre de Kavinsky. Il a fallu attendre presque 10 dix ans pour son nouvel album. J’aime beaucoup son univers musical avec l’utilisation de synthétiseurs qui nous donne une petite nostalgie des années 80. Vive la French touch !

Merci beaucoup Sylvain ! La version originale est tellement super que j'ai préféré offrir une reprise améliorée plutôt qu'un vrai remix ! J'ai beaucoup aimé son dernier album, je regrette simplement qu'il sonne plus comme une compilation des potes de Kavinsky plus qu'un réel album de Kavinsky... L'exemple le plus criant est Outsider qui pour moi s'est clairement échappé d'Escapades de Gaspard Auge ! T'en penses quoi ?

@@SoulMachine Kavinsky avait mis la barre tellement haute avec la sortie de OUTRUN qu’il était difficile je pense d’attendre un album équivalent ou meilleur. Son style a sûrement inspiré d’autres musiciens et son nouvel album ne peut malheureusement plus donner le même effet Whaou ! On verra si Mercedes va reprendre un de ses nouveaux titres pour ses pub 😃 J’aimais justement son univers de musique synthé mélangé avec la voiture de sport qui donnait envie de d’écouter ses titres dans sa voiture. C'était très agréable. Je sais pas comment expliquer, mais en écoutant ta création, je visualise un homme d'attraper quelque chose proche et éloignée à la fois. Le tout au ralenti. 'tain j'ai l'impression d'être un fou quand j'explique ce que j'imagine en écoutant de la zik.

@@tinobarth4597 some people i know that worked with him personally told me that he acted more like a artistic director than a musician during the Motorbass Studio recording sessions

Dans ce clip: Starring: Soul Machine and Kavinsky En special guest: un (des?) pulsars (où comment illustrer au mieux le titre, heureusement que tu es là ❤) Special subliminal appearence: Pink Floyd, Justice (2 fois, tiens, tiens...😅😁), et Yann Destal Et ce solo qui transcende l'original... J'ai du mal à le décrire, mais pour moi, ton arrangement a plus d'impact✊ Tout ça dans un clip de 3'47 !! Si le prochain film de Nolan parle de pulsar, je veux que ce soit cette version pour l'accompagner.

Malheureusement non, j'ai tout fait en audio. Mais, très franchement, cela ne va pas chercher bien loin, j'ai tout retranscrit en moins d'une demi heure ! Au pire, regarde mes doigts sur les plans rapprochés ! N'hésites pas à m'envoyer ta cover lorsque tu l'auras publié !

How do you make the pumping effect on the the main chord synth?? It sounds incredible!! This entire thing is mind-blowingly fantastic by the way🔥

Thanks a lot ! The main chord synth is a Roland MKS50 and the pumping effect is made by a DBX 166A compressor sidechained by a Korg Electribe ES1, hope it helps! 🙂 Did you enjoyed Kavinsky's last album?

@@SoulMachine nice! You honestly nailed the sound, and the entire cover! Haha really wish it was on Spotify tbh😂 As for Reborn, I honestly dig it! Not necessarily better than OutRun in my opinion, due to a few tracks that don’t really go anywhere or don’t hit hard enough, but still a really great album. I like this new sound he’s going for, and the vibes that come with it. Plus, a few times it actually feels like the newer sound of synthwave that he initially inspired is inspiring him back, as several songs sound more “80’s” to me than most of his previous work. True gems like Pulsar, Zenith, and Outsider really make this album something special for me. What’d you think?

I wish we could upload more unofficial content on Spotify too 😐 As for the album I enjoyed it a lot but to my ears it sounds more like a "Compilation of Kavinsky & Friends" than a real Kavinsky album. The signature of his co-producers is VERY strong on each track and the album lacks of some kind of "overall cohesion" in my opinion, all the tracks sounds good but listening to the whole album gives a strange feeling. The best example is Outsider which is definitely an entire Gaspard Auge track that would have shocked no one on his own album Escapades ! Do you felt the same?

@@SoulMachine haha so sorry for how long it took to respond to this! I missed the notification😂 I agree overall. I think it definitely could’ve used a bit more of Kavinsky’s signature sound mixed into it. It felt like too many vocal features and not enough instrumentals, which definitely gave that “Kavinsky & Friends” vibe for me too. I do like the album overall, and think it’s not a bad return for him. With all the time he was gone tho, it would’ve been nice to get a new project from him that really felt a lot more like “him”. I know he also said that he wanted to do something different with this record than previous projects tho, and that he wanted to go with a more chill and vibey sound too, so that’s probably another factor.

@@micaiahclarkhaha don't worry! yeah, he clearly stated that he didn't wanted at all to be identified as part of the synthwave hype... but he also admitted he enjoyed the "good life" during all these years and he only started to "work" on the album one year before the release. So, to me, it doesn't look like this new direction grew up in his mind, it's more like "let's call some friends and see what happens..." 😅 Still a good album, but the only vocal track I'd keep is Renegade!
