god has took some overtime but he has used all his powers while making Kaushiki ji... he just threw me down. How lucky am I, i fell within the Indian sub continent knew about her through her father and that I am listening her music everyday in the KZread. I have no jealousy.

Madam how sweet melic subdued genteel a start to quicken into an explosion of flowery notes , and suddenly 'O'ing the raag in pure, pure pure pure poise slipping into a golden silence between a note and a note in sheer thoroughness ! Our inner ears you ever ring in. Salutations.

Please change the title of raga , this raga is shayam Kalyan. In raga shudh sarang gandhar swar is varjit , but in this recording ga swar is clearly visible. Shudh sarang is a parkaar of sarang , where as shyam Kalyan is a parkaar of Kalyan

Why have the folks of Lokmat who posted this not been bothered about correcting misinformation that they themselves have generated? This is Rag Shyam Kalyan NOT Shuddha Sarang. Does Kaushiki know that this misinformation exists?

Point to be noted:- She sang raaga Shyam kalyan and not Raaga Shuddha Sarang. These are two different raagas.*******

Kaushiki is undoubtedly one of the most talented singers of this time. But, this is not Suddh Sarang. This is Shyam Kalyan. There's no gandhara in Suddh Sarang...

It's Shyam Kalyan. There is no gandhar in Shuddh Sarang (even I was surprised to see the gandhar Kaushiki uses, when the title of the video was Shuddh Sarang; then, I realised). The Shyam chhabi jhaptaal bandish is a famous SHYAM KALYAN bandish, composed by none other than her guru Padmabhushan Pt. Gyan Prakash Ghosh (who was also her father, Pt. Ajoyji's GURU)
