On the question of time-rag/svar relationship between the practices of Hindustani and Karnataka Classical music system is not properly answered. Hindustani tradition is based on invocation of the 'present' nature-time-raga/svar unity in harmony. Influence of the external on the internal in consciousness. Karnataka tradition is on invocation of 'ever present' nature-time-raga/svar unity in harmony. Influence of the internal on the external consciousness. Karnataka music lakshana also suggests suitability of raga, svar for the kala-pratah; madhyahnic; sayam; rathri but does not conditions it for practice. Tradition is based on the power of bhavas of svara - anu svara and sahithya - akshara, lyrical to create the environment, unity and harmony in musical experience. Listening experiences will establish the truth in lakshana and lakshya of the tradition.
