If you jump and dance and get too crazy, you might miss something in their performance. It's hard to find a balance between jumping crazily around and silently staring in awe when you watch them.

I can honestly say, I have never heard Genesis' Land of Confusion played like this before. Nice Nashville flavor (mandolin, banjo and accordion) on Rock-Paper-Scissors. These women definitely get an A+ for originality.

This was a professional production using several cameras. It was broadcast on TV, and someone recorded the transmission. The only errors I see are in some song titles.

Yes, they were at Bonaroo 2009 - many videos of their sets on the main stage and a side stage. As a matter of fact, David Byrne was instrumental in bringing them over. They came back in 2010 for a brief tour. Wish they had got on TV; they would have made a big splash. After this I'll post those dates - though the end of Lilith Fair got cancelled, so their dates did too. They have not come back since, because they lose money. They would need corporate sponsorship, or something like that.

I was thinking that the dancing logo is starting from a static point and the ZDF station software let's it slide along with the average movement of that area. Although it seems nervous, it also looks like dancing. And more importantly; when someone rips this video from tv, they will not take the effort to blur out the ZDF logo, so their copyright is clearly on screen.

actually, i would equate them to the andrews sisters from the swing and boogie-woogie of ww2 era -- the andrews sisters were one of the biggest acts of the time and had the harmonies, the humour, the choreography, and the professionalism like this band. that may possibly be the reason for the military costume that the one girls wears--the andrews sisters used to dress in military dress for their performances (to show support for the allied troops).
I'd like to play as a support for them :)

I see. That guy did step back from his comments a bit. Of course, The Beatles didn't write all their songs either when they were starting out - "Rubber Soul" was their first album of all original material - but anyway ... Maybe someday they will be as big as The Andrews Sisters, probably never as big as The Beatles (close to impossible), but right now their popularity is lagging behind their talent. Though I don't really know how big they are in Europe. I believe they're stars in Norway. ;-)
Sorry, but I saw her first! :-D Since they all switch instruments so much and play them all occasionally, it's hard to say who is which, but I think of her as the drummer, as she plays drums most often. In the same way, there are the guitarist/singer and bass player, though they all take their turns. There is a lot of activity on the stage!

That'll be the day! :-) Wouldn't it be nice, though? I think they have to generate more interest here somehow before they come back. That's why I thought it would be great if they could have gotten on TV last time, even just once. If people saw them in action, they would have become fans instantly and wanted more - just like us! ;-) Too bad that itinerary lost its formatting somehow. It looked a lot neater when I was posting it. Oh well!

I hear you, and empathize with your enthusiasm. But they have an edge on the Andrews Sisters, since they play their own instruments. They're a complete band, while The Andrews Sisters needed a band to back them up. In a way, though, each act is a product of the times they lived in. The Andrews Sisters' music fit in with the Big Band Era, and Katzenjammer embrace current pop and folk-rock styles.
