KATZ's QUALITY For JUST $15? Pastrami Grill Bistro, Jersey's Best Kept Secret

I've eaten loads of pastrami on rye sandwiches, take it from me. Out of all the pastrami sandwiches I've eaten, only one can compare to Katz's Deli so far, Langer's Deli in LA. Both are good, but I found Langer's to be slightly less greasy and to have superior bread, so in Langer's vs. Katz's I gave the slight edge to Langer's. However, for the first time in years I now have another contender for similar to Katz's Deli quality, Pastrami Grill Bistro in Garfield, NJ.
Pastrami Grill Bistro is in a NJ suburb and located in a strip mall. At first it does not look like anything special, looking just like a typical suburban restaurant with cartoonish font. However, if you eat here you will soon learn you are in for a real treat. Pastrami Grill Bistro hand slices its pastrami just like Katz's, and the quality of its pastrami is just as good as Katz's Deli! Very very close at the very least. Katz's is hands down the best Jewish deli in New York City, if not the world, but Pastrami Grill Bistro is a close second or tied for first! And the best part? It's almost half the price!
Debates are already starting to emerge for Katz's Deli vs. Pastrami Grill Bistro. However, I am less focused in this video on comparing to the two. I am more seeing if Pastrami Grill Bistro indeed is that great and lives up to the hype as one of Jersey's best hidden gems!

I filmed this video about a week ago but it looks like in that short interim they have raised the price of pastrami to $19.25 and corned beef to $18.95. It's still cheaper than most delis in the NYC area but the price has gone up quite a bit. Just wanted to clarify for you all

it was 12 bucks last november when I first tried it. It is great, but they gotta slow down raising up the prices.

That place is fairly new AFAIK, only opened maybe 2 years ago, I think? Anyway, a friend of mine lives maybe 40 minutes away, and every day after work he goes there and gets a matzo ball soup and pastrami sandwich to go to eat at home. He's been telling me about it for a couple of months now, because I'm from NYC and have been to Katz's and all those famous places (and the not famous places that I still think are better than Katz's but you know, semantics lol). It's a shame I'm in Florida now, because oh boy do I love a good pastrami sandwich. This certainly looks good, and price wise (even with the price literally going up like $5 all of a sudden) it's pretty good.

I like how you typically show the food is fantastic when you make a scrunched up "disgusted" face, and the food is not that great when you make a "pleased" happy face.
