I don't see any selotape. Where is it supposed to be? Beautiful tone. Brass horns always have a more mellow sound than nickel-silver (like the Conn 8D).

It's wrapped around the leadpipe where the stay attaches. Fast forward to 1.44 for a close up.

@@adrianmiller4285 Ah, I see it now. It seems that the brace has broken loose. It would be an easy fix but if it's botched, it could permanently damage the horn.

I agree that she has a good sound. It looks to me like she is playing an Alexander 103 which, I think to many Americans, sounds brighter than the Conn 8D. But she seems to be playing it bit on the dark and mellow side which sounds great. Interestingly, I suspect the horn playing by far that most people have heard, in the U.S. anyway, is a Conn 8D. Studio musician Vincent DeRosa had a ridiculously long career and for decades played on a vast number of movie tracks, TV shows (like theme songs) and as a musician accompanying everyone from Frank Sinatra to Frank Zappa. He played the Conn 8D mostly and on average, in my opinion, sounded a little darker than this. But of course, he could play any type of sound he was asked to play.
