The backing track is effectively the Karaoke version of the original song, as done by Michael Bolton himself, way back when. So of course it sounds bad. BUT, it's the song itself that matters; I don't even mind the crappy background music because Katrina blew the roof off the bus! She just freaking Out-Boltoned Michael Bolton!
