Well, all of people commenting how good and kind Trudie is…did you know she was sued by her former chef for abusing her while this chef was pregnant? And lost the suit, was order to pay. The judge stated: “Mrs. Sumner had many minions to act out her evil intentions toward chef”. I don’t consider this kind of person a good human being.

Trudie and Sting and many others have worked on the Rainforest Foundation for many years. These is not just shallow, off the cuff comments, this is a woman who is walking her talk. If one is successful and wealthy - does that mean one cannot have an opinion? Or take a stand? Or be a spokesperson? This Foundation goes back to 1989, I am sure Sting and Trudie and all their collaborators have measured their eco footprint!

Do you think producing more greenhouse gases than a small country while simultaneously harping on people about global warming is walking the walk? I don't begrudge anyone their success and their possessions, but I wouldn't behave so sanctimoniously if I were in their shoes.

It is hard to know what to do in the short or long term, but each of us can find ways to make a difference. Perhaps it's just important to make an effort against all odds so to speak. It's great to see these two inspirational champions still fighting the good fight.

Maybe we chop down too many, but trees lumber is used to frame buildings, instruments for music, cooper barrels for wine, even the hardwood floors Kate and trudie are standing on, so as we re-supply our forrests and carefully choose the regions for deforestation, we should find balance

If she's suggesting that people do a particular thing or don't do a particular thing to help the rain forest or the environment in general, these same rules should apply to her as well. If they don't people will start to view her as a hypocrite. The problems concerning the rain forest and the environment are real, people need to know that those involved in "helping" the planet are sincere. If you give people cause to doubt you they will not trust you. If they don't trust you, they won't contribute to your cause. Please be careful with what you say, people are listening and they don't like what you are saying!

Hmmmmmmm I wonder how many hybrid cars Sting & Trudy own and actually drive? I wonder how many gallons jet fuel, gasoline and oil Sting & Trudy use per year? I wonder how many getaways & vacations Sting & Trudy take per year? And how expensive their power bills are in ALL of their personal homes around the world? Our power bill is about $159.00 a month (in our only home) and we travel out of town about every 6 months. We don't own a pool or jacuzzi and we use power saving light bulbs....

she states nothing new, or provides solutions for using up the planets resources. People need to work, we need wood to build our homes and metals etc etc. We need to work and earn money by making and then selling resources. Its alright for you to sit in your fancy castle and homes (paid for by your partner, i might add) and tell US how to live. Your partner provides a lifestyle free from monetary strain i.e you do not HAVE to work. I DO. If there was a more ingenious easier way of making money without destroying shit, dont you think people would monetize same. Be quiet and sit down

+Kevin Holland Lyrics are not his strong suit? You may be right about the politically active brown noser aspect to Sting's reptilian brain but if you think his lyrics aren't his strong suit then you haven't really sat down with any of his lyrics and pondered them. What makes you say they aren't his strong suit? Just because they don't always rhyme? Rhyming lyrics aren't necessarily deeper or more thought provoking, maybe to a fool, but not an intelligent and creative thinker, who doesn't need verses to rhyme to think they are good words to consider. Think about that, and listen to Wild Wild Sea and get back to me with a new opinion about his poetry, yo.

@@billt1954 there’s no rule that says she has to like Trudie. I can understand why Sting was attracted to Trudie. She was really beautiful (oddly pretty) but very classic… she does have or exuded a lot of sex appeal in her time, and I will say that she does know how to carry herself in social situations and carry herself in an upper class kind of way. She knows how to use what she has and makes it work for her. But I haven’t heard wonderful things about her from previous employees or those who have worked for or met her randomly though. I think she’s only great to people she considers on her level or higher or those who are good for her public image and make her look good.
