I love Katie for this. Super real. We definitely need to de-stigmatize these experiences as women. It’s sets us back as females to judge others. This is not a blanket statement of course. Because there are individual cases that should be thought out more, but in the end, generally speaking women should have the freedom to chose what to do with their bodies. Just like men.

But I agree with you there’s always a plan that goes beyond our understanding at times. I know it’s hard releasing guilt. As women we feel guilty for everything. Even after having children, many of us still feel guilty for any misstep or mistake made while raising a child. Society has made us feel overly ashamed of many things. I’ve worked really hard on realizing and understanding I’m not perfect. Because when I was younger, I truly was my own worse critic. Which made me very sad at times. It can be very unhealthy. What we "definitely need to do" is to show people, females and males, what fetuses look like in the womb. How developed they are at what point, while making sure they understand the full details of what abortion actually involves. How the fetus is blended up/dismembered while alive, then extracted (or falling out in chunks into a toilet at the clinic) immediately afterwards, so that everybody then has *fully informed consent. So that they truly know and understand before they climb onto that table.* Because most people don't know when they go in for one. They have no idea A) what the fetus looks like inside at that moment, nor are they given B) the information about how the fetus will be dismembered alive/blended alive/extracted from them. And I do mean blended/dismembered. The head pulled from the neck and arms and legs ripped from the body with tongs sometimes, depending, or the entire thing just blended up if it's up to the three month mark. (later stage abortions require the dismembering/decapitation of the fetus, again, while alive.) They think it's just this "quick and easy, painless solution" to something that's "just a few clumps of cells"....because that's the propaganda they've been given. I've watched vids where they show the truth to various young females who, prior to being shown the vids and given the full explanations, spoke just like you. Verbatim. The easy breezy casual voiced, pro choice stance that tries to sound nonchalant and reasonable. Then they saw the photos/videos and got the full explanation for what truly happens during an abortion, and were in tears after, their worlds shook. Because nobody told them, and they never bothered to research it for themselves. They just blindly accepted that easy breezy casual pro choice liberal propaganda stance we've all been fed without ever researching it for themselves. But now they knew. Now imagine if EVERYBODY was shown these same explicit vids/photos and given the full detailed run down of what abortions involve, and at what stage of a pregnancy. *More women would be a lot more careful to make sure whoopsies didn't happen in the first place. And more women would be less apt to adopt the easy breezy "it's all good" nonchalant tone you're adopting.* People need to know, and that's the #1 abortion-related problem we have right now. *Lack of informed consent and true understanding of how the abortions are actually performed.*

What some people don't realise is, in some states and countries, it absolutly does not take a lot for fathers to lose coustody of their children. Even in then U.S. some states automatically give custody to mothers. It is not always fair and the courts are not ways fair. People who have no children or 1 child and have NEVER been through the end of a relationship with children involved would never and could never understand what could happen. I hope her past decision is not the reason she is having fertility problems now. I've heard a lot of women say they had an abortion and could not conceive years later. That would constantly come into their mind as to some type of karma or gods way of stopping it. It's not an easy decision to make, I'm sure she has suffered emotionally and mentally enough. The choice to have a baby is hard when your at the best and most stable point in your life. Never mind at 20 without a pot to wizz in. I was 17 when I had my son. It was very difficult but I promised myself and my baby I would work my butt off to give him a great life. And I did. I never relied on anyone, no government funds, his father was no where to be found so there was no financial support either. But I was very focused. By 23 I owned my first home. Paid cash for my new vehicle. Had excellent credit and managed one of the world's most well known financial institutions. (We not the actual institution, just one location) I rose to the top very quick because I needed too. I needed to pay my mortgage and all the bills. I paid for daycare and evening babysitting while i went to my night job waitressing. You can do it, if you put your mind to it. But I can totally understand why Tom and Katie weren't ready for it. I do not regret my choice at all, I do see where I missed out on a lot of things my friends and school mates were doing but none of them were in the financial position i was in at 23 either. Still to this day some of them are living in their parents basement. Actually I got a call out of the blue about a month ago from the guy I was madly in love with in high school. He is apparently a drunk and at 47 lives in his mommy's basement. I was so in love with him but being pregnant kinda killed that opportunity. Thank god! I couldn't wait to get off the phone with him and have avoided taking his calls or responding to a text message. Anyways I guess we all have a path to choose. I just hope Katie and Tom don't beat themselves up over the choice they made as very young adults.
