No , actually she won for season 3 episode in which she donated her bone marrow to her daughter suffering from leukaemia. But I wish she had won for this amazing finale also.

The entire Denny series was incredible. This scene and the scenes with Dennys ghost were her best work on that show. Just iconic. & That’s 100 percent why it’s still around what they did those first 6 seasons was unforgettable, they’ve continued to try and capture that M.A.G.I.C, but it can only exist with the OGs.

I agree the first 6 seasons were absolute magic but even up to season 11 was still kinda on the same level because of the og cast was still there but now it’s good and I love that they have like a whole new version of the og cast but it’s just not as good as it was

That scene is seared in my brain forever. Izzie's cries were haunting. I could feel everything she was feeling & my heart broke with hers. A well-deserved Emmy!

Katherine did a PHENOMENAL job as Izzie Stevens. The bathroom floor scene with Izzie and Meredith after Denny’s death is so incredible.

One of the best episode of greys. And season 1-2-3-4-5 MADE greys anatomy. And because of these seasons and those actors the show is STILL this iconic. Period.

Me too!! Grey's soundtrack has always been great and adds alot to the show. I loved Callie ( Sara Ramirez) singing " I was made for you" She has a great set set of pipes.

That was one of the best scenes I could feel every thing she was feeling Her grief her pain That’s why Katherine Heigl is one of my favored actresses I would watch her in anything She is a superb actress Even till this day, if I watch that Danny seen again, I would start bawling and feel everything all over again . Really great job acting.

I have never gotten over that scene. I think it broke my heart so much that I dont think I watched much more after that haha

I absolutely love Jeffrey Dean Morgan and those episodes between his character Denny n Izzy are just so unforgettable! I felt that pain and cried so much! Definitely among the memorable ones of the show. The plane crash, George dying, Derek dying, Karev leaving, Bailey helping Meredith give birth to Bailey n a few others r among the ones I remember most

Method acting is so dangerous and has hurt a lot of actors. I did it for a play in college and it takes a good bit to come back from it. And like she says, there are other ways, other acting methods that aren't so destructive to one's mental health, that will make a scene good.

That was the best story line of any show I've ever seen (the actors were FABULOUS). I remember being absolutely gutted after that scene, I didn't get over it for awhile.

This scene still is one of my most memorable scenes on television and movie history ever. I had never felt that much sorrow in my heart for anyone. My heart still remembers it, and I am very grateful to have seen it. Catherine and Javier were amazing and I thank them for giving us such an amazing experience 🥰

One of the best scenes of all 19 seasons! There are soooo many phenomenal moments as a result of wonderful acting (or in some cases, truly living it) that I have many favorites, but Izzy’s heartfelt reaction to losing Denny is definitely one of THE best! The whole Denny storyline killed me. I cried for days when he died. The way u played that part tore my heart out. I found myself angry that I couldn't hold u and comfort u...that's how extremely powerful the story was. Letting myself go there and feel it ...heart wrenching. katherine grew up in my hometown of new canaan connecticut, and this small town will never forget her brother. Every year our high school has a safe driving week, and i can only imagine the number of lives that week has saved each year.

What you did was made it relatable, and in doing so, others whom have suffered such pain don’t feel alone, they know that such a pain can be felt and grieved and then overcome. That pain needed to be expressed so others can relate and grow compassion. Thank you for sharing your pain, and how loved your brother was through the expression of that moment.

I watched that episode and when you were crying and it hit me hard now knowing this made me sympathize when I was watching this episode was shortly after my brother had passed away and I remember sitting in the room with him I'm feeling so alone

You are a fantastic actress I loved the whole Lizzy and Denny storyline

This was one of the biggest cliffhangers of all time. When she cut the wire, I couldn't believe it. And it was all so well acted from everyone. Back then there was no streaming, I had to illegally download the episodes via torrent every week, because it took months until the show got dubbed and aired in Germany. I couldn't wait to see how it would play out.

I remember watching that episode and it just tore me to pieces.
