Scored 4 touchdowns in one game while at Polk HS, and nails BOTH Peg and Glorida. Ed O'Neill is a NATIONAL TREASURE!!!!!

Katey has aged so gracefully and to me, is as beautiful as she was 30-35 years ago. Sophia, that's a no-brainer, but both very intelligent actresses. So cool to see.

Yeah but as grest as Sofia is she never was even close to competing with the chemistry Ed and Katey had. I especially hated when the writers of MF made Gloria so screechy, naggy and unrelentingly mean to Jay in the later years.

2 of the most witty and intelligent women to ever grace the screen.

Ed O'Neill wasn't even a first choice for Married with Children. Now look at him now. Had a great run as Al Bundy only to be followed to be on a show with high acclaim as Modern Family. And then people forget that Katey Sagal has a resume of her own as well.. legendary, first Peggy Bundy. Then Futurama. And also, Sons of Anarchy.

There was an interview where one of the BIG shot executives said that he thought Ed would bomb and ruin the show - practically to his face! Someone, the director or somebody vouched for him.

Ed was only invited very late, because they were trying all comedic actors- but none would fit for the role. So someone from casting remembered seeing Ed in a drama, and offered to invite him in. The writers were against the idea of extending the casting to drama actors (even joked, that if this goes on- soon they will have cartoon characters reading for Al), but as soon as Ed started acting- they knew he is the one for the role.

Both ladies said it best about Ed O'Neill. Great Man and actor.

Love how most people only talk about Katey speaking... clearly MWC is still in the hearts of a lot of us

As successful and popular as Modern Family was Married with Children just is the more classic and iconic show and Al Bundy was the much more iconic character than Jay Pritchett also Ed seems closer to his MWC family than MF although I can tell he cares for Sofia and the others too but MWC cast was his first family and the first is usually the most special. Imo Modern Family didn't utilize Ed's comic genius nearly as well as Married did.

The fact that his star is across the street from/next to a shoe is absolutely hilarious

I saw a video a while back where David (Bud) was interviewing Ed. And he said Ed I've got to tell you I once took a p**s on your star. And Eds reaction was like it was the most natural thing for David to have said to him. The chemistry and banter between the Bundy family members on and off set is amazing. They truly are all life long friends.

Such sweet and genuine testimonials from his 2 TV wives. Ed has had an incredible career and good on him. FnA have ANOTHER career defining role while you're at it! Why not?

I grew up watching Married with Children as a kid. Katey is the reason i love it when women have the big hair. Al is why i love big'uns and the nudie bar. One of the best TV dads ever.😄

I love Ed O'Neill so much, he's an absolute treasure and seems like such a fun guy to hang out with and talk to.

This is great! Its nice to see Ed's two lovely and talented tv wives together lol but even though I think Sofia's great and think that she and Ed have a nice chemistry for me you can't beat the amazing chemistry between Ed and Katey as Al and Peg. Its like Ray Romano and Patricia Heaton. They are such perfect tv couples I will always prefer them as married on tv.
