I cried twice while reading this. I needed it so much right now. Tw I've been really struggling with things like suicidal thoughts and self harm recently. I'm just now 2 weeks free from cutting myself. This list- That last one. Number 100. I'm gonna do it. Soo 2 years ago i met my soul! Her name is Luca she was 9 then and i love her! She was 11 and she had a tumor and she had so much pain so she desided to put her to sleep (idk how you say that im from the Netherlands ) I heard it 4 days after and i was crying for 2 ours! I mean my baby was dead my friend my beauty my soul! She have make me stay on earth i wanted to kill myself but she liked my face and i feld that she said don't do it! Im here for you don't cry i love you and it broke my heart! This is as you can't think of it to loose your mother! This is the same for me... I love you Luca! You right in my heart!❤

I’m 16 and I suffer from severe depression and anxiety. I found this song when I was going through one of extremely low moments it may sound dramatic but this song saved me from making some bad decisions so thank you Kate for making such a beautiful song that connects with and helps people like me and for anyone else whose going through something right now or considering harming themselves just remember “the beauty will outweigh the pain” 😁

i listened to this song when i met my boyfriend, when it got to the part "i dont wanna die just dint wanna live" i started crying and he noticed. he asked me why i started crying because of that and i answered: i dont want to end my life, i dont want to kill myself, but i dont want to live, not like this. i want a happy life but that doesnt even make sense to me when i say that, i dont know if thats even possible. he gave me his number and told me to text him whenever. one day i was cutting myself and i started feeling really bad like i was going to pass out any second and i remembered to text him: goodbye thank you for trying to help. the last thing i did before passing out was going to the place we met, and he was there. i remember falling on the ground but i didnt hit the ground so i assume he caught me. i woke up in a hospital and the first thing i saw was him holding my hand with dried tears on his cheeks. when he woke up he cried, told me he loved me and made it his goal to make me happy everyday even for a little bit. i asked him how is it possible that he cared so much about someone he doesnt even know and he told me he doesnt know but since the day we met he cant get me out of his head and he realized he loved me, the thing is i love him too. so we waited until i got better and then he took me out on a date and we moved in together because i had no where to go. he is the love of my life and even though i didnt want to meet him like that, its all worth it.

For years, I have been keeping a list of reasons to stay, posted beside my bed to remind me why I need to wake up everyday. More than half of what's in there are now gone and I'm starting to run out of reasons.

This song saved my life.

This song has actually saved me from committing suicide. Especially the part " the laugh of your sister's kid." My little nephew means the absolute world to me. I couldn't find it in my heart to do it to him.

It's actually crazy how much someone's life can change in such a short time, right now I feel like I have the perfect live, everything fell into place. Looking back, what seemed to be the end of the world was actually just a temporary thing that passed over time.

Failed in life, failed in my dream & lost everyone! Do I have a reason to stay ?

I spent over an hour on Sunday sobbing on the floor of my room telling God that I wanted to go home. I just wanted to disappear and find myself in a happier place. I still want to find myself in a happier place, but I realized God will always give us every opportunity to find our purpose and happiness. I was crying so hard and happened upon this song. I related to it so much. It made me realize I'm not alone. Because just seeing my nieces laughing or watching the sunset is my purpose for now.

Am I the only one that doesn’t deal with problems And just sits there and at night say what I want too say to the people that I have problems with and than after the mental break down just listen to music..because too scared to speak up to life..?

i love you, precious human being

for the past few days I’ve had this song on repeat and everytime I listen to it, it hits harder and becomes so relatable. I think... I’ve ended up crying 3 times listening to this song. I don’t know... how to help myself. I just feel as if I’m in a small box and no body has the energy to listen to my words or how I’m doing. It’s like whenever someone asks if I’m ok i tell them either I’m fine because I’m so worried they would call me an attention seeker or not or I say I’m not and ask what’s wrong I tell them and they end up telling other people making a huge joke over it. I just don’t know what to do anymore and I really needed to say this I’m sorry for anyone who read this and didn’t want to. I just needed to get all of that out .

This is so beautiful. I’m subscribed to this channel and on November 19 when it was released, I clicked it. I cried the first time I heard it, and it was a song I put on repeat. I know this song could relate to one of my best friends from when I was younger. She tried committing suicide the last week of November. She felt nothing was going right and there wasn’t a reason to stay. That she had no purpose. Also getting stressed and bullied. I stopped her from doing it, I cried and begged her not to do it. I told her she means everything to me, her friends, and her family. She has a special place in all our hearts. I remember playing this song singing this to her after I told her not to do it, and what she means to me. It was an emotional roller coaster. I don’t know how it worked but she stopped what she was doing and cried. Thank you so much Kate for this, you helped me save my one of my best friend’s life. I tell her if she ever feels useless and can’t do it no more, she’s everything to me. I told her to think of me, and think of this song. Thank you so much Kate! Ilysm

So many people can relate to this song. The song is beautiful and sad at the same time. 💕 Edit - September 5th, 2022: I felt so alone nine months ago and this song and my best friends kept me going. Every day, I'd have to wait 30 minutes outside with no one to talk to at school. I was so sick of having to deal with that for such a long period. During winter break, I got better and I realized I was not alone. And you, the person who's reading this, isn't alone either. Even though we haven't met, I care about you. Stay strong, you've got this.

After a horrible emotional meltdown, listening to this song made me cry all over again. But it hit way differently.

Music is the only thing that keeps us sane and moves us in ways that regular words just can't. It keeps us all together like glue and fixes little parts that we never knew could be fixed up.
