No idea, although more than one network actually scans videos as they are uploaded (preventing users from uploading Kate's first US TV appearance). Given that they have this amount of pre-emptive power, it is reasonable to assume that they have far greater power than regular users.

Wow, so much pressure. She seemed to have held her composure rather well. But as for the contest, I wonder if it was mainly for up-and-coming artists or were established artists really allowed to compete? Because it is odd that Al Green could enter, as he seems to have been the only big-name (for then, at least) artist that was there, and I'm sure EMI would've sent someone who was more tried and true than Kate in order to win. Seems like an unfair advantage to me.

Perhaps you are right. Just after this contest, Kate Bush became very popular far more than Al Green. True winner Japanese people chose was decisively Kate Bush.

She is 161 cm.

though, losing to al green isn't too shabby.
