She is undoubtedly the most incredible woman who has ever appeared in world rock. Beautiful, Intelligent, unique, graceful, very talented and magical. Adjectives are lacking to define someone as admirable as kate bush. I will love Kate Bush forever ..

Amazing how she's always come across as the sweet and pretty girl from down the street. Most people with her talent would be insufferably arrogant. Not Kate though. Oh my, 78. I had hair and a motorbike back then. But I crashed my hair and lost me motorbike. Anyone seen a red Honda Superdream or me sodding hair?

Oh my goodness! Award shows have come a long way! It is so strange for them to say that "there aren't many female vocalists around," and now...though there were many great female vocalists who came before her, Kate was (and is) a pioneer and still seen as uniquely and creatively brilliant!

Interestingly, following the comments about the lack of female singers in '78, Kate Bush's work is one of the main drivers of the ingenuity of today's raft of female singers. They seem to be much more creative than males overall these days. Lana Del Ray, Weyes Blood, Taylor Swift, Waxahatchee, Soccer Mommy, Angel Olsen, U.S. Girls, The Beths etc. etc.

Oh yes, I've noticed similar things as well. It seems like a great portion of actually good indie/alternative music is made by women nowadays, which is genuinely a fantastic thing to see.
