Музыка

In today's video, Paul Drew from The Studio Rats is checking out the brand new Katana from Boss, the KATANA GO.
This cleaver little guitar headphone amplifier is a full Boss Katana in a tiny package.
Here is what BOSS say about the KATANA GO.
KATANA IN YOUR POCKET
Compact, convenient, and loaded with tone, KATANA:GO is an essential companion for daily jams with your guitar or bass. This powerhouse headphone amp puts authentic sounds from the stage-class Katana amp series at your instrument’s output jack, paired with a host of wireless music streaming, sound editing, and learning tools on your smartphone. Advanced spatial technology provides a rich 3D playing experience, while BOSS Tone Exchange offers an infinite sound library to explore any style. Whether you’re a developing hobbyist or a pro keeping up your chops, KATANA:GO keeps you inspired everywhere you play.
The Studio Rats are core band members Paul Drew on guitar/production/mixing, drummer James Ivey and Dan Hawkins on bass. They collaborate with singers and musicians to produce radio-ready songs.

Whoever came up with Katana must be driving around in a solid gold car by now. They’ve got so much life and so many great products out of the platform, it would be great to know how many people have started their guitar journey in part because of this technology. Well done Boss. (And nice job Paul!)

The 50 was the first amp I ever bought. Upgraded to an Artist last year. I’d love a set of waza air headphones but the price is a bit much, might pick up one of these though.

We should remember, that the Katana is basicly 'just' the GT-100 with a Solid State output stage and speaker. They probably did some more modding but the DSP remains the same. So also some kudos to the inventors of the GT-100 :) I am still waiting for them to release a Katana Multi-FX Pedal for real comparison

A solid gold car is not feasible. Maybe solid gold outer exterior and interior parts but an engine made out of solid gold would be impossible.

Unbelievable how this automated programming allows you to focus entirely on your guitar playing without tap dancing! What an age of breakthrough technology that we're living! Wish this thing happened when i was 15 years old cause this would have saved me a lot of money. Paul i don't know if you already done this, but can you do a video about choosing the right frequencies to cut through the mix on rhythm and lead guitar playing, as well as bass guitar? I am a new Boss GX-100 user. Cheers mate,

Well I just got mine. I love it. Ordered a pair of cabled Apple Ear Pods with the 3.5mm plug to use with it. Those work great because I’m already used to listening to tons of music on ear pods and they are comfortable and lightweight for extended playing. The spatial effect works with the ear pods. Katana Go works with my Beyer Dynamics and Sony cans. As for the sound, it’s like a Swiss Army knife of sounds and effects. You can quickly conjure up whatever sound you imagine with the boatload of effects. This is something that every player should have on hand. Especially if you record. What a bargain.

Great jam! There were a few companies that made guitars with built in effects but they did not have a professional sound. With something like this and a BluGuitar nanotube built INTO a guitar.... is there even a need for an amp anymore? There is so much available real estate on an electric guitar that could accommodate a device like this but with a 1/8 size tube as well? 4 buttons for your 4 most used sounds? Plus wireless? If the guitar was a solid, playable guitar, the effects sounded like the Katana and it was all going through a tube (probably need to have a SPEAKER out jack on the guitar instead of an instrument out) I think that would be a serious option....

Lucious and lovely, both playing and sound! So have you compared the sound of the KG to that of the NUX things that do kinda the same thing? I bought (and still have) both a NUX and a Fender Mustang Micro, and couldn‘t warm up to the sound of the NUX, nor to the limited options of the Fender (with no app control). So maybe the Go is the way to, er, go?

Great demo Paul.....awesome tones, so much so that on the back of this vid I bought one. One issue.....the Go does not feel like a solid latch into my Strat (style) guitar jack....it pushes back out a couple of mm after pushing into the jack. So to turn on, or adjust the volume, I have to hold it in place with one hand and adjust with the other. I have taken the jack output out of my guitar and squeezed/bent the contact closer but it does not help. Never had this issue with NUX mighty or Fender Micro.....so, Go owners, do I have a bad one, anyone else have this issue where its just not secure in place, and moves with the slightest touch. Any comments gratefully received. Thanks again for the fabulous demo Paul.

Dude, I hate saying this as a slide player.... Because room reverb effects my sound a lot. There is rapidly becoming zero reason for amps :( Especially since it makes live sound so much easier when you have a random FOH dude. Personally I'd wanna see if it can stack compressors inside or not. But this sounds beautiful! Wonderful playing man! Edit: Imagine you could carry 10 of these in a bag that would be replacements if one went down and just have it and a aby pedal "incase". The possibilites for this are endless honestly. I'll definitely get a few of these depending on price point.

The Nux and Flamma have Drum Grooves on their similar products and it's just puzzling why Boss omitted this feature.
