I have a fat five foot ball python that's about as scary as a baby rabbit. She's bitten only once, that's because my fiancee came home from the zoo we work at smelling birds. She also likes to cuddle if you're sitting down. Not a very metal snake, lol.

100% not deathcore. It's CLOSE to metalcore but metalcore is characterized by some amount of a chugging riff, which isn't really present here, and clean vocals. These guys are melodic death metal, though I'd prefer saying they're heavy metal.

The lyrics are pretty standard ruminations on human condition and blah blah type stuff. The member that made them unique left in the mid 90s, who could write lyrics

This and As I Slither from Kataklysm. Check out Archspire, and Soreption. I've been listening to Kataklysm since 2010. I remember a construction guy heard me playing them, and was like, "Is that Kataklysm, I know them from anywhere."
