I saw Kataklysm at a shiity bar in Aurora, IL in 2003. They were the 3 band on the bill. I knew they were gonna be one of the greats. Shadows and Dust Tour 2003.

I must disagree my friend. Prevail is an amaxing album but I think serenity in fire is the best album. The pure sound and raw heaviness off the album is second to none. You dont hardly find bands today that can produce an album you can listen to all the way through and not dislike a single song like kataklysm can do

Prevail is damn good! but IN The arms of devastation is the best, in my opinion!! i say that for 2 reasons.- "Like Angels Weeping the Dark" and "The Road To Devastation"!!

Both are good songs and both are good albums. I just find serenity in fire to be more raw and heavy than any of there other albums

I hear ya!! . i like the new deathmetal but them old school O.Gs late 80's early 90's Death Metal bands like Obituary-Cause of Death and Death-Human and Carcass-Necrotisism Descanting the Insalubrious, DEICIDE. still gives me goose bumps when i listen to those cd's and ive been a true death metal head since 1995-96!!

All these digital animations look surprisingly un-corny. They aren't overdone and don't attempt to look real. I'm satisfied.
