Also doens't show up so leass chances to use it. I can read Hiragana fine cuz i could practice most of the time whenever something came up in my reccomened or in anime but katakana occured much less which was pain

They don't look the same; they look similar. Focus on the differences and create a hint or a way to remember and distinguish them. Hope that helps!

Find an easy reader for first grade kids. It will be in hiragana with very few kanji and it will have breaks between the words. Re-write every sentence without word breaks as you alternate the kana from hiragana to katakana for each word. Always write the particles in red ink in hiragana so they stand out. I like to make the katakana just a little bit taller than the hiragana. After a month of doing that for 10 minutes a day, you will be very good at katakana and never sweat it again. Doin' the work... works.

Once I picked up on the fact katakana are used in ways that sound sinilar to words I already knew I was able to read the characters far quicker.

In katakana its a little bit tricky to wriye and remember because of some words you see is su but you speak fu and the other is when you write because why. Hiragana is easy to remember but katakana id really easy to forget some symbols but if you take time on your work youll remember it
