I love this demo! Just plays the sounds out of the unit so you can hear the quality of what you are getting. I just ordered this from AMS because of this video. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Well done. :) .... selling now online for $89. ok...it is a few days later...I have received my KTMP1 and it is even better than I had hoped. You can tune each sound so really you have hundreds of sounds to use. pads are amazing...too good to be true. perfect for what I have to do

And with the midi out you can expand to use it with any electronic drum module drum machine or synthesizer that accepts midi. This does seem like a great valuem compared to the alesis sample pad 4 which doesn't even have two pedal inputs like this one does!

I took advantage of that $89 deal as well! I try real hard but I’m not a real drummer, I can play a drum machine like nobody’s business! lol, I have mine hooked up to the Yamaha Dtx multipad12 which IS a sampler and a brain. Then I have a DTX snare this, and a 75, not a toy but kind of looks like one. I Already had the hi-hat and kick to that. It’s good enough for me! Peace all!

For it's price it's one of the best for what it does. No...It's not a sampler and it doesn't save presets or have preset kits. You get 50 sounds you can arrange on 4 pads (it does retain the last selections of pads you used when you turn it off and on again). You can use it as a studio controller or record direct sound or midi in. It's better than Alesis as a pad in the fact that response, sensitivity and polyphony is far better. Not as good as Roland pads but then they are also 6 times the price even for the cheapest ones. Playing live gigs, the samples are pretty decent. Again I think they are much better than Alesis but I would say Roland is superior. Lastly it seems rugged. It is plastic but I can tell you how many times it's fallen out of my gig bag or the car and it still keeps on ticking. Value priced for the $130 bucks including shipping.

Should be noted that you're listening to the feed from the line output, which is a decent representation of the sound from an audience POV... But when it comes to playing on the pads and the noise and feel, it feels like you're tapping on the interior of a base model Kia.

I bought one yesterday to add latin sounds to my kit for live performance. It sounds and plays good for such a cheap price. ($119.00 US) The big drawback IMO is you can't set up scenes, you change sounds on the pads but you can't save them as scenes and simply change everything by going to another scene. For me and my application this isn't an issue because I just needed conga / bongo sounds and hand claps and the price is about the same as a set of decent bongos. But the lack of being able to make scenes can be a big issue for some applications. And not being able to make scenes is the reason this guy goes through the sounds on one pad. It was the only real way to show us all the internal sounds. OH and the stand attachment is crap, it's made of plastic! I have it mounted with a clamp and it's great BUT I know the stand attachment won't last. I'm going to ask the maintenance crew where i work to reproduce the stand attachment for me in metal.

Hello! Thank you very much for a great video! One question you. When I connect my KICK pedal, I can assign to it any sound - for example KICK, or SNARE, or SNAP etc. But when I connect my Hi-Hat Pedal, I am not able to change the sound of Hi-Hat pedal; it only sounds as Hi-Hat. Any ideas how can solve this issue? I would like to assign the sound of Clap to the the Hi-Hat pedal… Thanks a lot in advance!

I bought one of these second hand on ebay for $70 AUD the other day. They are going for $200 new without pedals or $380 with pedals. I would be kicking myself if I paid that much because although the build quality is good......the sound, response and dynamics are all terrible. The reverb has 10 settings....although it only changes between sounding like you are playing in a giant hall, or having no sound at all (you can hear the reverb overload in this review if you have a good headset). I owned a Yamaha DD-55 electric drum pad 10 years ago which had a more natural sound, along with better dynamics.

CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHETHER THE STORAGE OF NEW INSTRUMENT IS AVAILABLE AMONG THESE FOUR PADS OR NOT? 2. MAY I KNOW HOW MANY STORAGE BANKS ARE AVAILABLE? 3. ONE OF MY FRIEND HAS ALREADY BOUGHT PADS FROM DIFFERENT COMPANY, IN WHICH HE HAS STORED AN INSTRUMENT BUT AFTER THE BOOTING, WE ARE UNABLE TO HAVE THE SAME INSTRUMENT WHICH I STORED EARLIER. IS IT POSSIBLE IN THIS KAT KTM P1? KINDLE PLEASE EXPLAIN ABOVE QUESTIONS. ----------------------- REGARDS, KRUPANANDAM, ANDHRA PRADESH STATE, INDIA

Yes. Each pad has a pitch adjustment. I think you can ultimately get four pitches within a single octave. Each pad can go up or down several steps from the default note.
