The 22nd Torneo Internacional de Ajedrez Ciudad de Linares was played 23 February to 10 March, 2005 in Hotel Anibal, Linares, Spain. The participants were Garry Kasparov (Elo ranked #1 in the world), Viswanathan Anand (#2), Veselin Topalov (#3), Peter Leko (#5), Michael Adams (#6), Vallejo Pons (#18), and FIDE World Champion Rustam Kasimdzhanov (#24), who had unexpectedly won the FIDE World Championship Knockout Tournament (2004). The PCA World Champion Vladimir Kramnik (#4) did not take part. The prize money pot was significantly higher than in previous years, with 100,000 euros to the winner and 75,000 to the runner-up. Games started 3:30 pm. Time control: 2 hours 40 moves + 1 hour 20 moves + 30 minutes.
Before the last round, Kasparov was leading by one point, but Topalov won their individual game and leveled the score. They shared the 175,000 euros, but Kasparov was declared the winner based on a new 2nd tie-break criterion: most Black wins (two versus one).

Fun fact: Sergey Karjakin said that Wesley So is a hero. I asked Sergey in 2022 Sep: A - Sergey did Hans cheat? B - Sergey what do you think of the upcoming 9LX tournament in Iceland 2022Oct? C - Please it's killing me!!!! Do you support Wesley? Sergey said: A - I have no ideas:). Magnus played bad and Hans played well. B - I like Fisher chess and it is pity that we don’t have many tournaments on it. C - Wesley is a hero:).
That database is a great demonstration of how much of a positive impact you are making on chess globally, my brother. It's truly amazing how entertaining and digestible you have made chess for millions of people. You are a legend.
the library is an amazing resource! thanks a lot to the user, and to you as well for your awesome analysis
The guy even included b4 move as a filter bruhh 😂. Gotta say, as a programmer, legit impressed by the repo.
that guy spent some serious time with your videos, mad respect for him

Such things are not to be rushed! :)
Filter by "playing moves" is unimaginable. for all the other filters, u need to compile 3000 videos and add respective filter conditions. but including a chessboard and simulating moves is different level. congrats to the creator.
@d4slaimless
Жыл бұрын
Well, to include this chessboard you need the listing of the moves in every game. To do this you need to associate every video with the proper listing. Most of agad's video (or maybe even all) have the info in the video description (including players, moves, name of the opening). You need to extract this info and make the database. Of course it is still a lot of work and is impressive and very useful.
Ahh, Garry Chess, inventor of the game

What an incredible game by the immortal all time great Garry Kasparov....just outstanding!!!!
thanks for the gentleman who summerised your youtube videos, great job 🙏
Thank you, whoever put the library together.
Brilliant as always, sir. I should point out that "criteria" is strictly plural. The singular is "criterion" (from Greek), so the correct phrase would be "a more important criterion". I say this not to be a dick, but because your English is so excellent that I think you must be the kind of person who is interested in constantly approaching perfection. To be clear, most people don't actually know this; you used the word exactly the way almost any native speaker would... but it's technically wrong. Also, I'm trying to learn Portuguese right now. If you have any brilliant tips regarding how you got your English to this insane level, do feel free to mention them. :)

Portuguese is a great choice! I’m a fan of my mother tongue! 🙂 By the way, “data” would be another example of plural commonly used as singular.

thanks for the link,,been watching your videos since 2017, now i can search the games you've showed especially Tal, Kasparov and Fischer's games

Excellent night of fights! Alex did way better then I thought he would. Close fight and Pantera just schooled Emmett. Even the prelims were good.
Brilliant moves by Kasparov. Great way to end his active career and retire,. Love it.
Kudos to that your fan. Its very helpful indeed.

P.s. Big mma fan here! I thought makhachev probably just edged it, but I would love to see them running back in a rematch. Would be fascinating to see what adjustments they would both make💪

To the person who made the website: thank you very much. Very Impressive
What a game. That repository idea looks amazing. As for MMA, I had Makhachev winning 3-2 but Volkanovski really surprised me (as well as Makhachev, I imagine...)
Hats off to this gentleman!! And what a scary play by Kasparov!! 🤧

Love the database 😍
I've watched the Murphy, Capablanca, and Fischer saga playlists and sometime in the videos, agad said he will update about the happenings after that saga, I think that reposirtory will be so helpful in finding connected videos regarding those historical sagas.

Thx for the excellent respository. Just one thing missing: ability to search for a specific term, such as "immortal".

My Respect to the Guy who created that repository ↗️↗️↗️
Big MMA fan. Nice to see chess and fight sports mentioned together because they’re so similar in many ways (battle zone, strategy, tactics, technical knowledge, long preparation, psychological toughness). Levy (GothamChess) is a big fan, too. About the fight, really 2 of the best pound for pound guys faced each other. I’m Turkish, so I support Balkan and Caucasia guys a lot. More importantly, I support good and respectful guys like Islam and Alex compared to cocky guys. It was a fight I wanted neither of them to lose. And it was so close, almost controversial. Definitely a rematch is necessary.
Hats off. Is there an option to search by format e.g classical or rapid
Hyy agad. Please make kasparov vs karpov series. They all are encyclopedia of chess.
