Last time I fished the Kasiloff, we got a four man limit of six in less than an hour. We landed on a huge school relaxing in a small riffle and cleaned house. Real nice sized ones you gott too.

It’s a tough one to fish with its short distance. A drift boat is key for daily limits on this river. Nice kings too with the hatchery working well.

Oh nice! As in most places the breweries are very popular. St Elias and Kenai River breweries are both serving food and local brew on tap and are both in Soldotna. There are full bars all over but the one the crowd starts at is the Duck inn on K beach and they also have a restaurant.

Numbers on the Kenai right now appear to be having an extremely slow start. I would bet we will see a similar run to 2018 when it was a full shutdown.

If the fish are in and your not catching, try something different! The definition of insanity is doing the something continually and expecting a different results. Sometimes it's a step back, forward, left, right. Sometimes the length of your leader, sometimes it's your weight, amount of yarn ....ect...ect..

There’s some really nice Steelhead and Dollies in there that come out of the saltwater. There’s so many salmon in the Kasilof but it’s so spotty to land on them at the perfect time with the river being so short. I’m going to keep on trying and you should too!
