Kartakou Cobblestone Guitar Power Amp Demo by Nik Dobbin

This is a demonstration of the Cobblestone Power Amp by Kartakou Amplification. This loud 45 watt power amp is ideal for pedalboards and would go really well with a floor amp modeller such as the Fractal AX8 or Line 6 Helix.

Have one for my AX8 and avatar traditional 2x12 (V30 and H30) had to tweak my patches for more high end to keep the tone slider at 50%, sounds great, very happy with that purchase.

I just got one of these for my small fly board using with a mooer ge200. My main board is a helix with seymour Duncan powerstage 170. I play metal and require a tight sound. This thing is incredible, using it into a 4x12 and I still can't believe how much clear tight headroom and low end it produces. I find running it at 90% full and utilising the mooers output to get my stage volume works best. I don't know how but with the cobblestone volume high it kind smooths things out almost like a valve power amp. The eq on this thing is a god send too. It means I can set my sounds in the mooer and use it to adjust for the cab I'm using saving having to adjust presets. Also if I'm running direct into p. a system simultaneously I can change my cab sound without affecting the direct sound. I do run in 4ohms on my cab (Marsh 4x12 v30) which gives you the loudest volume and headroom. I did have to use a loaner cab other week that was only working in 16ohms (will give you lowest output), this thing still stood up, full band gig with no micing. Had to jack up the mooer output level and lost some headroom but still sounded great. Class d power amps are the way forward compared to the older class units that sound dull and sterile. Get one of these before the prices rise !!!

Thanks for your in-depth comment. I totally agree with you, this pedal is killer. I am always impressed at just how loud it can go! Both of your boards sound awesome by the way.

Hi. Yes, you would use one of your 'main' outputs to the pedal, and then connect the pedal to an appropriate cabinet with a speaker cable.

Does it give clean volume all the way up or does it start to distort?

Hi. In my experience, the signal was clean at high volumes.

. What percentage of Max did you take it up to?

@@mikegill738 I took it up to about 70% when I was playing around with it 3-4 months ago. If you like, I can try it again with a clean signal (in a day or two) and let you know how that goes.

@@zaulkin thanks Nik i'll be planning to use it as a slave amp to run a cabinet so it needs to be clean ish all the way up.

@@mikegill738 No worries, I didn't get any unwanted distortion in my test. Also, this thing is loud - Seriously loud! Good luck and let me know how you get on.
