@@PGH_RSV4 no he’s not, half of them are just heat of the moment mistakes. He’s not dangerous but there are some things he can improve on. He’s not a big competition racer like a super nats driver or karting world championship racer he’s just a club level competitor so ofc he will make mistakes. I guarantee 95% of the people in the comments would do worse

@@motorsportfan1246 I race in 60mph twin engine karts and have quite alot of experience with karting but in the heat of the moment I agree it is easy to make mistakes considering how competitive some races get and mistakes other drivers can have that can affect everybody around me.

I wouldn’t be due to experience. I was in a tourney race once and I watched this guys kart go over someone else’s kart mid race due to the wet track. I’m never racing during the rain again 😝.

I applaud you for showing your errors on video. Takes a man of character to display his errors so others can learn from them. Watching your other videos I can see you’ve become a skilled racer. We race because we love it. I plan to stop when I can’t physically get out of the kart anymore.

At Skip Barber, they would call the reactive spin-out a "sympathy spin". Usually happens when you target fixate on the vehicle ahead of you instead of the far side of the corner you are trying to negotiate. Hard to avoid because it's where your attention naturally wants to go.

How do you crash before the corner I’m a go kart driver and I usually spin mid corner usually due to under steer, but when someone spins in front of me I usually get out of the way, some times these things happen

That rental karting crashes are everything i hope that happens while a rental session 💀

As a NASCAR fan here are a few tips: if there is ever a multi-car pileup always slam on the brakes and turn the opposite direction and also if you get loose keep going straight.

From what I've seen in this video as soon as someone spins everyone else's spins cuz of the anxiety and slamming on the brakes

I'd recommend starting in rental league races but either way go to your local track and see what classes they're running, buy a kart, drive it a lot and ask tons of questions! I made a video on this subject recently as well, check it out on my channel if you'd like. Good luck to you!!!

That first one is why they say aim for the spinning car. once you get there the car would have spun out the way instead of into you, trying to avoid it

Don't touch the curb too much or you will spin and if there's a curb beside the grass path, make sure hit the good apex at the entry of the corner.

I started running rental races for fun, then started competing in their leagues then bought my own kart. You should do it, it's a lot of fun.

Anyone who bashes on how serious karting can get has never been in an a bad accident on one. These things get going really fast and you are honestly super exposed in them! I had a crash once that nearly did some serious damage when a kart came up and onto mine, nearly hitting my head! Scary
