I started karting later in life and this channel is about the ride I'm taking in karting. Most people think we're just driving around with no real thinking going on which couldn't be further from the truth. Unlike traditional ball sports, Karting involves a lot of other factors that can affect the outcome. Our sport involves changing strategy during the race, offense/defense, physical fitness, managing a kart whose handling characteristics changes during the race and of course it can be dangerous.
I'm having a blast doing this and you can do this as well, I'm just like you. This channel is for people wanting to get into the sport or have recently gotten into it. You'll see me progress in my karting experience and I also try to answer some of the questions I had when I got started in other videos. Welcome aboard and come take a ride with Illegal Alien Racing!

hey man, I have been wanting to get some practice in the south track with the rentals but i’m not sure if there’s some days where they let rentals go on the south track besides league days
I don’t think they usually do other than league days like you said.
Great narration and good race!! My name is Eric and I was at the track today putting in some laps and watching the club races. I have raced roughly 25 races on the north track in the adult rentals and in 5 races in the GT max. My fastest timed lap in the adult rentals kart is 81.0. I plan to join the rental league at some point this year in hopes of learning and improving and hopefully picking up a LO206 down the road. Question for you sir, in your opinion what lap time should I be aiming for on the south track before joining the rental league? I don’t want to be a back marker and embarrass myself. Thanks in advance my friend.
How much do you weigh? I can't remember the times but I do believe an 81 on the North track is really good. Time only matters in qualifying, other than that you're racing which is different. The North track is more difficult to drive b/c of the lack of grip compared to the South track. Just go for it, you'll be fine.
I’m 6’1 and weigh 235. I’ve noticed by watching your videos in a rental kart on the North track that I am not taking the corners correctly. You bring a lot of minimum speed into the apex and I think I am utilizing too much break and thus scrubbing off time. I spend a lot of my spare time behind a sim rig at home and having been racing F1 for the past few years. I think I am carrying over those mechanics into karting and forming some bad habits. Thanks for the advice I’ll put some more time in over the next few weeks and months and work up the courage to join the rental league. Thanks for sharing all this info within your channel, I got the karting bug brother. Hopefully I’ll run into you one day on track.
Cardo systems are a bit better imo but they both good
Are there any big guys racing 206 or 100cc? I'm 6'4" 225lbs and seems like alot of lost races if I participated lol.
I do believe I've seen some people I'd guess weigh the same if not more in either class.
Wow what a race. You drove your a** off. very proud you!
Thank you Nash!
nice drive from start to finish. fun to watch
Thanks Layne!
Hey man I am 13 and i am very interested in racing , but I live in bahrain . How can I start karting for a less cost (rotax) and make my way up to championships and I am willing to get into formula .that’s on TEH other hand for now I am not into any racing sports . Can u help in get into karting ? (I have done rental karting 13HP karts in TEH bahrain international circuit karting track )
I noticed that Randy consistently leans his body outward on the turns (instead of leaning into it). Getting the weight off of the inside rear wheel since it rotates slower than the outside rear wheel.
Great drive, a few more laps you would have got them.
Way to go driver
The GOAT just casually getting 3rd. Nice driving! Made it look easy 👍
Thanks Chris!!! Narrate my next video please.
@@IllegalAlienRacing Alright! Send the files. I'll try not to get you demonetized
Well done! Way to represent the #32 😊 I moved from Ohio to Arkansas recently and really want to make the trip out to your track sometime. Sold my kart unfortunately so would have to find an arrive and drive opportunity. But I’d love to make it happen! Stay safe, have fun 👍
Come out to Central Arkansas Karting Complex sometime we allow owner karts now and we have a fleet of Sodi RT10 rentals you can enjoy while you don’t have your own kart
Hey man. Great video! Im in a LO206 and i find it a bit of a beating even with rib protector. Im 56 years old. Bought kart a year ago. Is KA100 a massive change from LO206? Im intrigued by KA100 masters but i don't want a kart that beats me up so much that I hate it. Any advice?
The acceleration is a lot better but I don’t think it’ll be you up a lot more than you are getting now. Some yes but not like a shifter.
amazing ending nice race
They last 10 hours
Thx for helping me but I need to ask him for little more advice
@@winrod152003 got it he’s been doing it longer so I’ll leave it up to him plus he’s the creator too
Great racing man. How long do the engines last in between rebuilds?
I go around 13 hours or so.
Depends, I top end rebuild mine after every meeting.
your the best KZread can you pin me I am the first like and comment

That’s cool man! In my opinion since I started doing this you should probably get either a 206 or if not many people race 206 in Bahrain then ka100s are a little more expensive and you should probably start with club races to maybe regional races in karting then you could try your hand in formula cars if you have the budget but that just my opinion
hey man nice video. I got a quick question though, i'm going to buy a kart this summer but im not sure if i should buy it factory new or used or buy separately the chassis and th engine (ive got a budget of 2500 and its going to be my first kart)
Unfortunately you're not going to get anything brand new for $2,500. I'd look at FB marketplace or check local FB karting groups and try to find someone getting out that just wants their stuff gone. That'll be your best shot at the best deal in my opinion. You can probably find an LO206 for that price but it won't be new. Good luck and keep me updated!
@@IllegalAlienRacing I'll look into it, thanks for the advice man
the drivers in those full body, with bumper karts (at night) are complete hacks. OMG! There would have been fist-a-cuffs after every race at my track! Learn to drive w/o leaning on each other. That's why the open wheel karts teach you how to race! You touch them, you crash!
I’m glad you’re back, I love your videos! One thing I noticed is you don’t really go so the sides of the track on entry and exit. Why is that? Is it a mistake that you don’t realize you’re doing? Is it faster to not do that? Not trying to be rude, I’m just curious.
I'm not sure I understand your question, I do enter and exit wide.
How much was that device?
Which one?

Great race Illegal Alien. It's fantastic to see you back.
Can You Send A 2019 Kart You Have Without The 32 On the sides and the front
What do I look like, your rich uncle? Ha, I don't have an extra kart to send out.
I have a dd2 and love it a lot when it runs right.
They're so much fun to drive for sure.
Good job. I think you did a good job for not being in the Kart in a while. Do they let you soak tires in this class?
I race a similar class with the same engine at the same track and I think you can but I’ll leave it up to Oscar since I don’t know for sure
Hey Nash!, I'm not familiar with soaking, what do you mean?
Yeah same here I don’t exactly know what soaking meand
@@IllegalAlienRacing putting a chemical on the tire to help it get more grip!
@@nashguy207 Ah. No, I've never done that and I've never known of anyone doing it.
Welcome back from your break. I'm about to take one, bored with racing, not challenged with the series I'm racing in. I'm still at the kart track most weekends as a race director.
My first kart is also a Briggs and Stratton Lo 206. It’s been a wonderful kart for me to learn my race craft and understand the importance of managing mechanics, and parts. Margay is my local dealer and their Ignite K3 package with the Briggs is a popular choice for folks around my home track.
You got it figure out sounds like. Same route I went and I agree with you.
I’ve been fascinated by these karts since I was at the Quincy Grand Prix last weekend. And although I’m a Briggs and Stratton 4-stroke kart racer at this point in my life, I would like to do a test session in one of those shifter karts someday.
Let me know when you do, it'll blow you away in a good way!
THANK YOU,,VERY COOL..
so cool! I want one lol
Awesome videos man, one day can you do a quick video of how you have everything packed in your truck for race day? (Kart, stand, etc). Thanks man

How can I get intouch with you?

To stop the kart i can just press the brake and it comes to a stop? Cuz i dont want to destroy the engine on my crg
lol theres 0 grip
Those two person karts look fun
Oscar: “Chris?” Chris: “What’s up?” Oscar: “What’d you get?” Chris: “Who knows🤷🏼♂️” 😂😂😂

What kind of tools are u using
What's a jimmy to do when he wants to strap a 250 cc dirty bike engine to his round the block cart fuck the neighbors yeet jimmy?
Where have you been. Been thinking about you and wondering when you was going to post another video. From day one these karts have not been as equal as the previous karts in my opinion. Great to see another video. Hope all is going well with you!
I was taking a break and it's rained a lot this year. Fun to be back, great to hear from you! 💪
after watching this I feel like you could be a lot more aggressive on the brakes into turn 1 and try to turn the steering into the corner harder so it will allow your back left wheel to come off the ground and will rotate more but other than that good video
