This is judo without gi and Karo shows it works and open ways to submission. By the way Mitsuyo Maeda, the man who taught the gracies was a judoca.

in nage no-kata, throws are demonstrated using the clinch, and the clinch is banned by IJF because it is easier to throw with the clinch

Yes, I'll have to agree with you on that. I finally have another Judoka training Gracie Jujitsu with me. There is not as much to grab on to with out the Gi and once you both get sweaty it gets even more difficult. But at least its good to start throwing and being thrown again with Judo techniques. Most of the guys training here rely on wrestling takedowns and really don't like being thrown.

@19thaman79 Yes it is. Judo and Wrestling share a lot of techniques. There are only so many ways the human body can be controlled and thrown or taken down. There are going to be crossovers. That's an inside trip in wrestling right? In Judo it's a dopping variation of Ouchi Gari (big inside reap)

I wasn't talking about gi or no gi. I was talking about the technique. He shows variation and not breaking the move down. I don't understand why would anyone want to throw sloppy, instead of learning correct technique and then perfecting it. Please, name me one BJJ fighter or wrestler who uses uchi-mata, saionagi, osoto-gari in their fights. None of them do, cause these are difficult moves to actually implement without constant practice.

How is it Greco stuff when the two videos BOTH show techniques that involve using your legs or their legs to throw them??? Greco doesn't allow any use of the leg trips/sweeps or any holds below the waist. If anything, you mean freestyle wrestling, and yes there are similarities in how the techniques look. There is also a big difference in the philosophy behind the techniques. No-gi Judo IS very similar to freestyle wrestling, but also very different in other ways.

I could drop this dude easy walk up like imma shake his hand then throw a right hook to the tater and his judo will have to wait.

this 10 min. instruction is pointless. none of them will be able to do any of these moves he showed without formal Kodokan Judo training, because they don't understand concept and physics ot these moves.if they want to be able to apply judo throws, they need to take judo instructions from a judo Master, not Karo. Drop Saionagi is a dangerous move for someone who can't do even normal saionagi. That uchimata variotion is a good idea, but it will work only against a noob. IMHO
