Absolutely. It sounds like a harmonic minor scale which is many times referred to as middle eastern or Indian in sound.

Nice Taste, just a few more awesome bands: Rishloo (Prog Rock like Karnivool), The Mars Volta (Very weird but great Prog Rock), Radiohead( Biggest alternative band), Opeth (Progressive Death Metal a bit like Porcupine Tree but heavier), Storm Corrosion (Dark Prog), Thrice ( Each album is influenced by a style but mostly prog/alt rock, excellent band). And this might be enough for now xD

There's loads of awesome music out there; keep your mind open and go find it. Unfortunately, most of the best music needs looking for. Check out Pure Reason Revolution, Tool, Porcupine Tree and Meshuggah if you haven't already. If I'm honest, I used to think that nothing in the charts was even worth touching, but occasionally some music makes it that is really a masterpiece.
