Prog professionals. In Australia, when Themata dropped, we knew Karnivool were taking over Australia; when Sound Awake dropped out of nowhere, almost a decade ago, we knew Karnivool were set to go global. One of my favourite bands for a decade now. This was the song that set them up to dominate prog rock.

@@Statistic68 I adore Twelve Foot Ninja, but you do realise there was a full 7 years between the release of Karnivool's and Twelve Foot Ninja's debut records? Not to mention the fact that Karnivool were playing live even before then and had a number of EPs. Cog set up the Australian prog rock movement, Karnivool knocked it out of the park and TFN is just one of many absolutely amazing bands/artists to rise from this movement.

The amount of Bass in this band is just pure Love. The whole band is amazing, but I just love how much the bass is standing out. Most bands just put the bass in a follow the leader-mode but in this band it reminds me of Mudvayne and how prevalent the bass is.

This live version of this song is way better than the record version. It just hits harder
Goosebumps every time they transition from the intro into the song
Always shivers down my spine after the intro when the song kicks in at 2:59. After that, just banging my head off until it hits the floor.

6:35 that hunched over, going in reverse headbanging is hilarious and awesome at the same time.

God, I love this song way too much. Can't get enough of those guitar riffs. Kind of reminds me of a heavier V.A.S.T. or also similarities to Ra for the eastern vibe.

I remember being there. This was awesome.
Phenomenal performance 🤘
Texas Here incidentally, I heard these guys on the radio once, several years ago and could never find them anywhere, due to how I mispelled their name. I scoured, anyhow... I eventually refound them LOL a few years ago. Yes, The VOOL is definitely in a league of their own. No reason to compare them with anyone, they have defined themselves as their own, and continue to do so. Amazing group of musicians.
Pouah le son de la basse déchire trooop !!!!
The intro should be another song in itself. I've lost track of how many times I've looped over the intro.
