Hate against Novak? All the top players knew Novak was the type of player that would you the time-out injury to break the opponent's concentration or regain his concentration. I don't think that's a made-up story but a fact. That's why they used to call him Chokovic. Also, his dad and ppl in his box used to try to bother the opponent in tough matches.... don't believe me? Ask Federer. He was a dirty kind of player. He is better now, however, he will most likely always go back to his old self when things are against him. Right now his dominance is unquestionable so he is not getting pushed. He has Rafa's number especially the mental part. Rafa was a friend with good intentions and Novak used his dirty tricks against him... that pissed Rafa off and since then Rafa hasn't been able to get the better of Novak, consistently.

LOL! Novak is a target because he sets himself up to be mocked time and time again. He didn't need to antagonize the US Open crowd after beating Roddick - but he did because he was butt hurt that they were rooting against him. Roddick was playing before a home crowd so of course they were rooting for him over Novak. Novak had endeared himself to the NY crowd with his funny player impressions - and then shat on all the goodwill by being petulant in the on-court interview after the Roddick match. He didn't need to hit the ball in anger and accidentally hit a lineswoman at the 2020 US Open - but he did and it wasn't the first time he let his temper get out of control and then duck publicly taking responsibility for his actions. He didn't need to retire from 16 matches throughout his career with silly injuries everyone else plays with every damned day - but he did/does (See: Dubai 2016 (after losing the 1st set!) with that stupid "I got dust in my contact lens" nonsense. On another note - Roger took a damned bagel in the 3rd set at Wimbledon this year when he reinjured his knee rather than retire and deny Hurkacz the win. In 2016 he reinjured his knee and played out the 5th set against Raonic - and said not one word about his knee as an excuse). Novak didn't need to do the Adria tour and that turned into a COVID shite show with his father blaming Dimitrov for giving everyone COVID and then Dimitrov had to come out and say, no, he didn't have COVID when he got to the event and stop trying to blame others for Novak's screw ups. Novak doesn't need to try to reinvent the wheel with a players union that's a stupid ass idea - but he is doing it because he wants to leave a legacy in tennis so badly that he can't see the forest for the Roger & Rafa shaped trees. I could go on and on. I actually like Djokovic, but I freely admit that for the average non-Serbian fan he's not an easy guy to like - or root for. He tries too hard to be liked and stand out from Roger and Rafa. The three are tied together for eternity no matter if Novak passes the other two or not or if he wins a grand slam in a year when he literally has no competition. Kyrgios is a dumb ass but he got one thing right about Novak - he wants to be Roger, ie, the guy everybody loves, effortlessly cool and charming and the one fans love best. I feel bad for Novak, but at the same time, he continually shoots himself in the foot when said foot isn't stuck in his mouth.

How can you say he has no competition this year, he beat Rafa at RG. Rafa came to the tournament very confident after he had defeated Novak, Sasha, Stephanos at Rome, Barcalona. He performed well in the semifinal. He was exhausted in the fourth set because Novak took his time away, forced him to move around to hit his forehand. Novak is just a year younger than Rafa, Rafa chose the physical type of game so he gets injures more. In terms of the Wimbledon this year, I agree that he didn't face much challenges. However, you should remember Federer and Nadal have won more GS without having face anyone in the Big Three than Novak. Again this is my opinion, feel free to disagree or argue. Dull? You're clearly brainwashed by Western MSM...in all honesty I found Fedal matches somewhat boring as Nadal mostly got the better of Fed but when those two played Djoko, they produced so many exciting, dramatic, riveting matches. Earlier Djoko was also more of a shot maker as well...such an exciting and complete player and if he wins USO 2021 should be crowned official GOAT, period.

@@robertstar7463 Thanks for your reply Robert. If you believe Federer has a boring style of play thats your opinion. The history, applause and longetivity of his beauty doesn't really back it up though. LIke wise Fedal being boring. WIm 08 is regarded by most as the greatest match ever. Federer's game elevates any match he plays for me. Djokovic has insane matches when he plays those two. But take away Stan Wawrinka and not many of his other matches stand out as works of art. They are incredibly impressive. But the robotic repetitive defensive style doesn't really get the heart racing in his early rounds. He was more aggressive once. But no longer. Outlasting players is his style. Why change something that works so well. I cant blame him. Yet when there is no natural aggressor in a tennis match it can for me become dull. LIke him and Murray at the Australian. Federer always spices up a match with his selection of shot. I have been watching tennis all my life. Got to be honest with you writing a four letter word about an animal that eats grass on a hill top, has diminished your post. Everyone on social media uses that term and it makes it almost impossible to discern anyones individual comments or views. When Sampras broke the records he wasn't automatically seen as the greatest player. Many considered Emerson, Borg, Mac etc. What social media has done like with so much else. Has simplified the argument. By posting goat over and over again. Its kind of mind numbing. Lets talk tennis and use our brains. In boxing the greatest has been debated for decades. It does not automatically go to the guy with the best records. Djokovic will get the records and he deserves them. I will be the first to congratulate him. But Federer captures the soul. The soul for me trumps records. That and style of play. Also Federer is beloved in every corner of the world. So Western media bias point is not valid. Hes adored all round the world. Have a nice evening and take it easy. Peace and Love.

@@ben86jones82 actually, djokovic plays according to his opponents, that's the winning method. Federer has the most offensive method. Nadal is an ox of a man. Federer comes from the Sampras era when serve and volley were prevalent. Federer idolised Sampras and adopted his gamestyle of finishing points at the net. Nadal brought topspin. Talking about Djokovic, he has adopted a take no prisoner style of play, he conserves his energy when not required, he plays as per his opponent. His most entertaining matches have mostly come from his big 3 rivalries. I think the reason behind his game style is that he had to play nadal and federer, so to overtake them he had to keep winning otherwise he would never emerge on the top since they were better players than him. So it was basically survival for him, he loses a match he remains forgotten and at the bottom. Fedal never had to battle against players better than them, they were more skilled than others so they could do with their own styles, djokovic had to adopt such a style since he needed to win.

@@rishabhgulati9804 Evening. Good comment. I agree that Djokovic had to create a style that would give him consistent success against those two. He has a perfect game with regards to being unplayable. Its just not the same when he goes up against other players. You wont get people as enthralled watching his early rounds in slams. Thats not his fault. I have undoubted respect for the man specifically his mental strength. Which is his greatest asset. Federer can turn any match into a show. Being entertained is for many the point of sport. When Djokovic wins the most slams he will have his day in the sun. Winning all four in a row and moving to 21 who could deny him the greatest status. However When you consider how Federer got to 15. That epic against Roddick that no one saw coming in 09. The match he had against Sampras in 2001. Both matches against Safin. The victory in 04 and defeat in 05. The matches against Nadal and Djokovic. Those 5 setters in the Australia in 2020 against two lower ranked players. Look at the magnitude of his defeats. The US open semis to Novak. That 2019 final against Novak. Aus 09 Nadal Wim 08 Nadal. Being dethroned. They are just spellbinding tennis matches again and again and again. Going to 5 so often. His comeback 5 year wait slam against Nadal in Australia. when he was 3-1 down in the fifth. Federer is shakespear. I am not saying Djokovic has not had his moment but still. Finally i get what your saying about Fedal being able to play there own game. But the reverse is also true. They have had to deal with Djokovic hounding them down and taking over. Federer has had to deal with them both and Nadal was a nemesis from 05. Djokovic from 07 was a threat, 08 he best him in Australia. Hes 5 years older. Nadals french wins sowed in the doubt against the younger man. Djokovics two Us open semis sowed in the doubt against the younger man. LIke the law of the jungle with the ageing Lion. Djokovic does not have/has never had that pressure. He does not have to adapt his game to anyone as no one is putting pressure on him at all. No ones come along to become his nemisis. Wawrinka did slightly but then vanished. Djokovic has only had to deal with whats in front of him not behind. This is an advantage in the later years. There is not one grand slam champion left in this years US open. Thanks for your reply. Peace and Love.

Nole had to deal with all those players and still won the amount of slams he did. As soon as novak arrived on the scene he had to deal with people who already had a lot of slams and were pretty close to his age already. Where as fed didn't have to deal with murray, nadal (more adapted nadal), and nole. Not to mention that both nadal and nole have defeated more higher ranked players for their slams compared to fed. Novak had to beat both fed/nadal for one of his slams if I'm not mistaken.... It goes both ways if fed had to deal with nole/rafa well then both nole and rafa also had to deal with fed as well and each other. The big 3 were nemesis of each other and with a sprinkle of murray/wawrinka. That's how I see it at least. Now nole has to deal with thiem, tsitsipas, zverev, medvedez. And don't forget now at least zverev has a gold medal something neither nole/fed have. Some consider a gold medal almost like a slam. And theim already has a slam.

I’m actually impressed with how competitive Andy Roddick was in this match and most of his matches with djokovic.

Nole used to have a lot of breathing problems and such stuff, plus other injuries, until he realised it was due to food intolerances. Once he quit dairy, gluten and processed sugar, then meat, he never retired again. People can believe what they want, but I was in such position, I had to quit all of the above, besides meat, and it improved my life in a huge manner. I guess you have to go through it to understand it.

Magical tennis from the greatest Player ever Novak DJOKOVIC vs disrespectful USO crowd. Novak showed there the best tennis skills and deserved the win. Wimbledon crowd and USO crowd are the same:DISRESPECTFUL and horrible.

Wow how many matches are that we don't know about that have interesting stories. I don't think djokovic was faking them but he was using unconvential means during the match regarding medical time outs early in his career.

Not only the crowd was bad but the commentator was truly a clown. On Djokovic's last winning point, he said: "Djokovic touches his heart, I'm not sure about that". Such a bitter man.
