I completely agree with Rubia. I also think defense should have had more witnesses including a crime scene investigator to break down everything that was done wrong and a psychologist that specializes in trauma to explain how Karen was traumatized and whatever she said is completely irrelevant.

I’m pretty sure the defence had those witnesses available but once Jackson ripped apart the D’bag investigators & Jennifer McCabe on the stand they realized they didn’t need them. Let jurors end with the prosecution looking like complete crooks with his Cross is better than beating them up on their Case in Chief.

I agree with a psychologist about Karen's state of mind. I found my daughter unresponsive. Although they worked her as well as the ER, I called my dad and told him she was dead as soon as ems arrived. My actions and words were all over the place. I think the ME knew a lot more than what she led on in her testimony... I think she was intimidated by Bukhenik and Proctor. She didn't lie, but hedged as to the whole truth knowing she may have to work with the Canton cops and the troopers in the future. So, she hedged.

The Alberts' "Auntie Bev" judge nearly blanket sustained every objection that Lally had. Even several defense questions that shouldn't have been objected to... about 85% of the times! That clearly showed her bias against the defense. And her yelling at Karen for her exasperation at the Verdict form, was really out of line.

Disagree with Rubia’s take that Jackson only did what he did for a movie/documentary deal. Jackson had to sum up a 9+ week trial, down to an hour. That’s the judges fault. There was a LOT of evidence and testimony to mention. Jackson and his team are 100% committed to Karen, and believe her.

To the people who think Reed guilty: This shows me you have never driven in winter conditions. You expect people to believe that while drunk, she was able to reverse at 24mph, on roads that were starting to get covered in snow. And still have control over the vehicle and not go skidding off into a plow drift, yard or another object. Also why didn't the Alberts hear Reeds 5,000 pound lexus hit O'Keefe? Anyone who has hit, been hit or been around a hit of an animal or accident knows the loud sound it makes. Why did O'Keefe not have any broken bones or mass bruising indicative of a vehicle hit? Then there is the tail light issue. How can it be intact on security cam footage at 5am. (It would have to be or the light would not be diffused across the panel and red.) Then you have the Dighton cop who was first on the scene testify that it was only cracked. Then Proctor inconsistent times of towing where an hour is not accounted for. Then it is all of a sudden completely smashed in multiple pieces and its fragments found DAYS later on the Alberts lawn. Even if she did this(not a chance), it is blatant with the tail light that the cops fabricated evidence. If they have to do that to "get the guilty party" the case deserves to be thrown out.

Thank you Rubia for a far better, reasonable doubt close. It's a much more direct message to the jury. Instead, they are left to make their own theories about what happened. To me it was very clear, but the summary should have really banged in the piles of reasonable doubt. I think he was too focused on proving his opening, rather than innocence. The Netflix movie explains alot. If true, shame on him.
